Traditional geek update:
NCIS: for an ep all about Gibbs and his mother-in-law, there was some really lovely team!
- Tony likes Kurasawa! Tony and Ziva being bantery does please me quite a lot - Ziva is taking her citizenship exam, and Tony likes Are You There, God? It's Me, Margaret (people surprised: NONE) and is not into Asian dudes. And he asked if Tim had been up all night playing videogames again (AGAIN! I hearted at the screen, because I am a dork) and I immediately decided this was because he and Tim have a scheduled night when they do their own thing apart from each other, and was both delighted and slightly scared that
catwalksalone had the exact same idea. Hee. And Tony called Tim "Timmy" and Tim called him "baby" and Ziva is brilliant and they all love each other so much! I am such a sucker for TEAM, omg. Their combined turn-and-blink when Gibbs overhears them is brilliant. ♥
- Palmer and his girlfriend were the cutest EVER. Beamy Palmer! Aww! I hope this one isn't a murderous traitor, Jimmy, I really do. And "What did he die of?" "A dry wit. .... sorry." LOL! And aw, Ducky wants him to be happy, but agrees he should lay off the cologne. Heh.
- Gibbs complimenting Tony is A SIGN OF THE APOCALYPSE! Hee.
- "Like Gibbs but with more stones and less to say." "Is that even possible?" HAH. Their little faces! ♥ Tim and Tony are always love.
- Gibbs and his ex-mum-in-law was done really well. Even though the flashback dude looked nothing like I imagined baby Gibbs, that was actually subtle and kind of painful. (Though the ow-est line for me was Gibbs saying that the only person he tortures in his basement is himself, because 1. heh but 2. OW.) And I kind of thought the whole point was that Joanne was Way Wrong but Gibbs was also Way Wrong to go about dealing with it as he did, with it all being very 'even good people go very shades of grey when bad shit goes down', which is a bit disconcerting from a happyhappy joyjoy show. I don't know what I think of that.
Psych this week was JAWS-TASTIC and had inadvertent Lassie/Shark, lololol. I love Lassie, and him trying to be Shawn was inspired. Hee. My veryvery favourite thing about this episode, though, was:
Gus KNOCKED DUDE OUT! and there was FISTBUMPING LIEK WO! So cute! I approve of this trend of Gus getting to show off his awesome.
Henry being flirty was a little disconcerting but hilarious, especially the reveal that he is at least partly in it for the fishing tips. AHAHAHA. (I like that they have realised Henry is hilarious and actually use his talents. &hgearts; )
Lassie and Jules being hilarious partners of whacked! I loved the many many many "shut it"s! and Jules trying to be supportive and aw. Hee. And, obviously, the Psych Out, because honestly, that was BRILLIANT and maybe my favourite Psych Out ever. Heeeeee.
I don't have much to say about White Collar except that omg Peter actually did the 'you should choose being a good guy' speech!!! Oh, and that El being Right about things is always fun. And Peter going on the rampage on Neal's behalf is just completely endearing, probably cause of the contrast to how smiley and teamy they are when they're in the same place. Love. Oh and that it did excellently well at the ladies this week! Keep doing that!
