Yeah, this episode was filled with plot holes. Does the impala really have FOUR spares? Did the father/grandfather (also I was really inappropriately amused by the Fritzl family joke, which I only just remembered) who locked his kids/grandkids in the WALLS really teach them to read and write? And use proper grammar (the blood writing said "too late" after all)? Crazy times.
I loved the stepping over the salt moment, even though I saw it coming a mile off. That was the thing, I KNEW that would happen, just like I KNEW it was the dog licking her hand, but that didn't lessen the impact, it just made me hide behind my hand, peeking through my fingers, going "ohgodohgodohgod" for longer!
Jim and I have a little SPN game (which is not the amazing SPN drinking game we invented over Christmas and got very drunk playing) where every time there is a woman or a non-white character who doesn't die, sleep with a Winchester, or turn out to be evil, we win. Mostly this doesn't happen.
Hendricksen was immense and I wish we still had him. Ditto Gordon. If an episode had either of them in I knew we were in for a treat. And now they are no more!
