In lieu of complaining about how many people I care about have had major medical issues this week (EIGHT. EIGHT. universe, seriously, that "oh man, only sister and dad are still fully functioning, they'd better look out!" crack was a JOKE, not a challenge!), I present you with two videos that have been making me happy lately.
Star Trek meets Monty Python. Heeee. Knowledge of Trek or Monty Python and the Holy Grail is preferred, but so not necessary. Bwaaaah.
... holy crap, I've just realised: Monty Python's version was the first Arthurian legend I knew anything about! No wonder I have no problem with Merlin's ridiculous-but-well-meaningness. Hee.
And talking of, the other vid is a Merlin vid. And it's Arthur set to.... um... well, Meredith Brooks. Yeah, the song you're thinking of. And it WORKS. Heeee. My current favourite bit is Arthur kneeing the dude in the head at the word "bitch". Hah! Or, wait, no... actually, my very favourite thing is just that it sums up the show so well. Apparently 'nineties girlpower anthem that actually had way too much influence on soupytwist back in the day' is actually the appropriate soundtrack for this show. Heeee, and also, love. So, um, click here!
And now, in the only possible ending to the rest of the post, I am going to watch Galaxy Quest.
