I've been storing up my craftiness so I can inflict it on you in one big post, heh. This is what I've been making the last couple of weeks. Because nothing helps a bad mood like crafting :D
... that might seem snarky. Actually, I totally mean that. Crafty things are joy!
Okay, so first, I finally made these purses I've been vaguely thinking of ever since I got my Noro Silk Garden Lite in my very first weeks as a knitter.
They are lined with some plain grey stretch cotton. The clasp on the smaller one is a loop of black yarn and a button - it's not as good as I hoped, it's a bit loose. The bigger one has poppers. Or whatever the technical term is for poppers; I spend a lot of time around a three year old and it tends to fry your brain. *g*
I also used that fabric to line a scarf for
newsbot3.
It's a pi scarf! That is, the stripes make the numbers of pi - 3.1415926535897932384626433832795028841 (not rounded), in fact. :D Not that I'm a huge nerd freak. You can just about see how long it is in this next pic:
I also knitted myself one of
these in my precious Cashmerino Aran, and I looove it. So warm and soft.
Oh, and I've also been experimenting with my carders, so I made up some lovely Corriedale in various shades of purple, and ended up with 400g of:
I'm generally pretty chuffed with all of them. But man, the next thing to learn is how to use a sewing machine, cause lining all that stuff by hand is a PAIN IN THE ASS.
