According to some member of improv club, last year, it was just a bunch of friends who did improvisational comedy. Just men and women, hanging out, becoming friends, and making each other laugh. This year, everyone is more than friends. Almost everyone is paired off. Some couples are spot on. As for others, I can't figure out what they're doing with each other. But one thing I've noticed is that every one resembles their significant other in some respect.
Let's explore, shall we?
Yours truly and Matt: Obviously, I'd start here. We're the exact same height, and not terribly one weight extreme or the other. We both have very athletic bodies. He has quite sexy arms, and I'm known in six states for my awesome leg-age. Furthermore, we're both stoic on the exterior, but we all know that I'm a complete mess on the inside, and I can't help but think he is, too. We're both at that next level. I like how we can have an actual intelligent conversation, and neither one of us dominates it. I feel so... equal. It's incredible.
Julie and Mark: They're getting married. We know it, they know it, their parents know it. Both are on the short and chubby side, and if I were to assign an animal to play them in the Disney/Pixar cartoon version of their life, it would be mice. Cute, little, cuddly mice. That sounds weird, I know, but it's just a feeling I get. They're two old souls, who just need to grow old together. Julie is dominant socially, but I'm sure that in the bedroom it's a different story. If they break up, I'd be horrified.
Tiffany and Jim: The most awkward of all the pairs, Tiffany is a time-bomb waiting to explode while Jim is stability incarnate. Physically, they're both completely average; not particularly thin or chubby or muscular or tall or short, just average. I love them both individually to pieces, but no way in Hell can I understand them as a couple. Their unusualness goes beyond the cliche of "opposites attract" and onto "people on completely different ends of the spectrum who wouldn't necessarily have anything to do with each other attract." Okay, whatever.
Melissa and Jared: I know absolutely nothing about these two except for the fact that they're both unusually tall and lanky. They remind me of the AP kids in high school. While everyone is remotely concerned about their schoolwork, these two seem like the type to actually take education seriously, whatever that means. They're both sort of shy, and intriguingly cryptic. I don't know what to think.
Meg and Adam: The newest improv couple; official as of last night, in fact. They both seem adorably, awkwardly clueless. Honestly, though, they haven't been dating long enough to be completely assessed.
There are a few more couples, but they're not really as worthy of note.
Now all we need to do is get Emily, Steve, Frog, and Heidi to get together, and everyone's set.
