1. You have 50 dollars in your pocket - what do you do with it?
Food.
2. What is your most guilty pleasure?
I occasionally find Taco Bell tasty. Repulsive, yes... but tasty.
3. Have you ever seen someone die?
Several times.
4. Are you confused as to what lies ahead of you?
What kind of question is this? Who isn't? I mean, come on - isn't there an entire literary genre devoted to just this?
5. What was the last movie you saw for pleasure, and would you recommend it?
Back to the Future, done up all MST3K-style at the Alamo Drafthouse. Yes. It was great.
6. What was the last book you read, for pleasure, and would you recommend it?
The Omnivore's Dilemma by Michael Pollan. And yes. Read it now, and share my newfound revulsion of corn.
7. What geographical area do you see yourself living in in 5 years?
Austin, Texas.
8. If the person you secretly like is already attached, what would you do?
Moot question, because the person she's attached to is me.
9. Is there anything that has made you unhappy recently?
Absolutely! Good thing this question didn't require me to expound further!
10. If you could have chosen at birth whether to be a boy or a girl, which would you be?
It's a man's world, and if you keep talking like a bitch, you're gonna get slapped like a bitch....bitch.
11. Which of the 7 Deadly Sins do you think you relate to the most & why?
Gluttony, without a doubt. Lust runs a not-too-distant second, though - I do have a Y chromosome, after all.
12. Thunderstorms - cool or scary?
Both. I love dramatic weather when I'm inside or on a porch. Being in it is another story.
13. Clinton or Obama?
Fuck that bitch.
14. Would you rather be a really good person or a really interesting person?
Good people can't be interesting?
15. Do you believe in some form of life after death?
Define life. If you mean that the energy which I have stored up will go on to feed worms, the birds that eat the worms, the lower mammals that eat the birds, and the higher mammals that eat the lower mammals, then yes. If you mean wearing a robe and sitting on a fluffy cloud, then...uh...no. No more than I believe that Poseidon rules the seas.
16. If you were about to be put to death, what would be your last meal?
Cornbread made properly, collard greens, red beans, a wilted salad, fresh green onions, baby cucumber slices in cider vinegar, and a roast. Either all of this, or a fried egg sandwich on toast. Unspectacular choices for a foodie, sure, but it's sentimental.
17. What's the most exciting thing you're up to this weekend?
I partied for 4 nights straight at SXSW and saw on the order of about 20 bands.
18. Do you have a motto? If yes which one?
"Do I have to?"
19. What new "trend" are you most ready to jump on the bandwagon with?
Meh.
20. What place most speaks to you?
The sort of place with old, moss-covered stonework half buried in the sort of soft earth that seems perpetually carpeted with the soft emerald green of tender baby weeds. Something about places like that just usually feels very homey.
