Summary: Looking at the phone once more, he shook his head no-no before he snuck it back into his pocket.

He walked towards an empty table with the tray in his hands to sit down and eat his lunch and just then he felt his cellphone vibrate in his pocket and reached out for it, trying to balance the tray with just one hand.
Checking the caller, Ryou’s name blinked on the screen. He stopped walking and just stared at the little screen, then looked up around the cafeteria with worry in his eyes. Looking at the phone once more, he shook his head no-no before he snuck it back into his pocket.
Unsettled inside, he placed the tray with food on a table and sat down. His hand shaking, he picked up the fork and went for the green salad on his plate.
Across the room Ryou was standing still. Eyes red and swollen from tears he had cried since their meeting last night. The phone to his ear. It kept ringing, ringing, ringing. Slowly he let his hand fall down to his side and sniffled a bit as he kept his eyes locked on Mao sitting by the table on the other side of the room.
