❧ o2. and then the cat died

Colour me curious.

If you could say anything to anyone right now, what would it be?

And if you do have something to say, what's stopping you from conveying it? Inquiring minds wish to know. ♥

what is taking things seriously?, being a douche as usual, they see me trolling

You know, I don't think there's anything I need to say. On a day-to-day basis, I don't usually hold back, so anything I have to say gets said.

Ah, the beauty of honesty. But I think I spy a 'usually', there. What about the times you do hold back?

Those times, I hold back only what is necessary, and only for my own sake. The times are not right for the things I would say, in those cases.

True, time does make a legitimate excuse in almost all cases. What would you consider to be the right time, then?

Sadly, the right time may not occur within my lifespan, no matter how much I would like to see it. It would be a time where the majority is more open-minded than they are today.

You sound as though you are content to wait and hold your silence forever more. What an obedient guest you would make at a wedding ceremony.

I am not as content as I may sound, though I keep my silence. I do what I can to work towards the right time, though it never seems to be enough, and I do not have the power to speak out, for doing so would take from me the one thing I wish to lose the most.

As for the wedding ceremony, I suppose that would all depend on the couple.

How cryptic, and just a little poetic. I suppose you find the anonymity of the quills soothing, then.

And is that so? Might you have any younger siblings that you are particularly over-protective of?

I do, to an extent. But I'm not sure who is watching, reading, and how adept they are at identifying handwriting.

One sister. And if I disapproved of her choice of partner, she'd know before they even considered marriage.

Hm, it does seem like you hold back -- and quite a bit. But then again, it might just be that our definitions of 'holding back' are quite different. After all, what seems to be liberal to you, may seem to me like a life of paranoia.

What a loving brother you are.

In some ways, it is paranoia. But there are those far worse off than I. And more than I want to change the times, I want to help those less fortunate in their circumstances. Were I to not hold back when and as I do, I couldn't provide them the aid I do now.

I do try~

A heart with one purpose alone
Through summer and winter seem
Enchanted to a stone.

Too long a sacrifice
Can make a stone of the heart.

If I dropped your heart into a well, do you think it would sink?

I believe it would float, actually. Perhaps high enough to grow wings and fly itself right back out. ;)

[he pauses in his writing, amusement scrawling across his face] Now, wouldn't that be a sight to see. Someday, if a winged heart passes me by, I think I would know whence it flew from, and where it is flying to.

And if hearts could do such things, I imagine it would wink at you as it passed.

If that's the case, I might be inspired to write a poem dedicated to that winking, flying heart.
