Location: Orihime's office
Date: Tuesday, July 24, 2007, before lunch

Summary: Orihime's mythical koalapandafishes are the main theme of Yachiru's new drawings, so she stops by her office to show off her newest artwork. These two might have more in common than most people believe.

( Every koalapandafish in this world is unique, like fingerprints or cabbage patch kids. )

At Yachiru's sudden entrance, Orihime, startled, nearly inhaled the lollipop she had in her mouth. She spluttered and coughed for a second (though she managed to wave at Yachiru simultaneously), setting the sucker aside on its wrapper for the time being. She'd just gotten back from the infirmary, after all, and it wouldn't do for her to have to go there twice in one day.

"Oh, Yachiru-chan, you surprised me!" Understatement. "You drew a koalapandafish? Come over here and show it to me! I bet it looks great!" She wondered what the little girl's interpretation of the legendary mythical creature would be. Maybe she would draw one of her own while Yachiru was there. Drawing together was fun!

The red-head waved hello and Yachiru replied with one of her famous smiles. She ran inside the office, plopped herself on one of the chairs at Orihime's desk and started to unzip her backpack.

"Yes, BB-chan. I drew lots of koalapandafishes and guess what? They were really different from each other, you were right!". She put her notebook and magic markers on the desk and started to flip the pages. "This one has panda-ears and koala-nose", she said while pointing the features on every drawing, "this one has a fish-head and panda-paws and this one...", she picked up the notebook and placed it right in front of Orihime's eyes as if trying for her to really look at it, "this one I drew just for you"

Orihime picked up the drawing and looked it over, smiling warmly. The drawing of the koalapandafish looked almost exactly how she remembered Didgeridoo, her childhood imaginary friend.

"I think it looks perfect, Yachiru-chan. You really are a great artist! I can keep this one, right?" she asked, indicating the drawing in her hands. It would look great on her wall. Or maybe on the fridge back home.

"YAY!". Yachiru beamed and started to spin around on the chair. Round and round she went while talking to Orihime.

"Yes BB-chan, that koalapandafish is aaaaaall yours but you have to name it first!". She kept spinning, now flailing her arms and becoming practically a blur of pink and blue (she was wearing her favorite blue t-shirt).

"Oh, that's easy!" said Orihime. "His name will be Didgeridoo. Because that's a good name for a koalapandafish." She wondered if Yachiru had any imaginary friends, with as young as she was, and what her life was like with Zaraki-san.

Orihime blinked slightly to stay focused and stood to pin the drawing to the cork-board on the wall which held all of her favorite pictures. "How do you think it looks there, Yachiru-chan?"
