Rainbow
Could I return to the shadows
that have haunted my shattered soul
when I have walked in the sunlight
and felt her warmth and radiance?
I must stay in the daylight
while holding the night within.
A perilous balance to maintain
for one cannot be without the other.
So how can I ever live in darkness again
when I have tasted its beautiful colors
and lived in the brilliant glow
of a thousand shining beams?
