An open letter
Dear Peter Jackson,
I have now loved your version of LOTR for a good 10 + years. The nature of that love has changed thanks to other fandoms sort of stealing your thunder but it still holds a special place in my heart!! I'm writing today to state that in all that time I've had one really big gripe outside of my continuing 'eh' at your choice to miss out 'in Western Lands' . That gripe is that one scene in Two Towers where Sam gives his big emotional speech and Frodo asks "what are we holding onto Sam??" at which point Sam hefts him bodily up and gives some guff of "that there is some good in the world..." While every time...EVERY TIME...I'm screaming "each other good damn it!! You're holding onto each other!!!" My point is that I know you did it deliberately to gain that reaction from the slash community! Basically I officially hate you for this!!

Oh and while on the matter of Mr cucumber patch today I listened to Great Game commentary and oh god Martin calling him 'Ben' and was instantly meeeeeelt!!!
