Well, it's better to be out here than in the house with a known enemy.

[ She's certainly irritated, but she pauses for a moment and changes her tone, almost pleading. ] What were you thinking?

Don't make it sound like I INVITED the guy along! Eagle--! You should've been there! He just- flew away in his huge mecha thing and left the guy there, telling him he should hang with us!

I swear Hikaru and I didn't know what to do!

I don't know that making him a bed on the couch was the best solution.

[ Presea paces in a small circle, absently kicking up sand. In her time period, of course, she has no animosity towards Geo... They're friendly, more or less. But this Eagle has hardly been friendly, and Geo is a very loyal man. There was no telling what would happen. ]

I'm sure you did what you thought was best, but the situation can't hold as it is. We need to make some sort of official truce with Autozam.

I know what's on your mind, Presea. Trust me: I haven't stopped thinking about the whole... spy deal.

[Seriously now. She needs to make sure Presea doesn't think this is sitting fine and dandy with her either. Umi's eyes follow the pharle's pacing and so do her cat's.]

But--- unless Geo's a pretty good actor, I'd say he was as stunned by Eagle's move as we were. Even upset! They didn't plan this.

...And... he agreed to a truce. Sort of. At least we shook hands.

[ Presea stops her pacing, crosses her arms, and nods firmly. ] Geo may have, but he's still under Eagle's command. And we don't know how far that truce goes. This is a situation we have to approach very carefully.

[ Some part of her is thinking, "I never received training to be a governmental advisor," but for better or worse, she is. So she knows a little. ]

If Geo turns out to be more reasonable than Eagle --and, mind, I think he IS... maybe he can help us talk some sense into him.

[Unless of course he has to follow his orders blindly. She wishes she'd dedicated more time to chatting with Geo back in Cephiro.

Actually... Eagle said something odd yesterday.

I hope so. He does seem to be Eagle's most trusted advisor.

[ Hey, maybe some good will come of this after all. She certainly hopes so. But is now distracted by Umi's other statement. ]

He said he was doing this on purpose. Leaving Geo stranded with Hikaru and I, I mean.

He said... he was sorry, but that Geo can't go with him this time.

[She inhales a deep breath, Edel growing restless in her arms as Umi frowns.] ...I don't think I like that one bit.

[ From Presea's obvious surprise and dismay, she doesn't like it either. ]

This has to be more than... just roughing it in that mecha. Considering their history, I'm sure they've done worse than that.

[ A pause. ]

And THIS is why we shouldn't be adopting people who are currently our enemies! Don't you think that whatever Eagle is planning, Geo will join in when he sees the opportunity? Truce or not!

[ She plants her feet in the sand and glares. ]

I should just boil him in oil and save all of us the trouble.

Talking about mecha... Geo DID crash into the ocean in one. A HUGE thing. I'd never seen it before! Probably something from their own dimension...

Fortunately it's still underwater, far as I can tell! [Her tone indicates it's best to make sure Geo nor Eagle ever retrieve it. They have enough trouble with the FTO being functional!]

But Eagle was really firm about this. About... NOT wanting Geo to join him.

[Here's where the concern she can't help but feeling will show, won't it. The largest part of it is for Hikaru. Umi knows that if something happens to Eagle...]
