victoria has this habit of throwing in random chinese phrases whenever she talks to him during recording breaks.
nichkhun pretends he understands (it's not like he could be fully fluent in every language!) because he knows she feels more comfortable with the fact they share something more than being insanely pretty.
he commiserates with the lack of good chinese food in seoul and they make fun of seohyun and yonghwa's awkwardness together (they still have a couple tense silences, but then nichkhun makes a funny face and victoria laughs and suddenly it's okay to tease her about her stilted korean again).
the boys tease him every time he tries to study chinese the night before WGM shootings, calling him whipped and you don't need to go to this much trouble to get her to like you, just wink ~
nichkhun tells them he's just trying to stay ahead of the pack when JYP decides to promote them in china (eliciting horrified gasps from junho and chansung).
and if victoria just happened to smile that little bit brighter whenever he pronounces it right, well then, that was just a bonus.
one day she whispers wo xi huan ni, khun-ah and leaves before he could respond (or tell her he didn't understand)
he looks it up on his electronic dictionary later, and is a little surprised (and a whole lot pleased) when the monotonous voice bleeps back i like you.
nichkhun ignores the fluttery thing his heart does and pretend he's just getting heartburn.

victoria is surprised at how sweet nichkhun really is.
of course she knew he was a sweetheart, but she always assumed part of it was just for show.
but apparently it's just in his nature to be some kind of gentlemanly, cuddly puppy.
he holds doors open for her, buys her flowers for no reason and takes selcas of them to post on his twitter, declaring this is me and my beautiful wife ~ kekekeke
it might be all part of nichkhun's angelic, princely image, but victoria needs him to stop before she starts falling for him.
too late.
