I actually saw that post and thought you made excellent points. The problem with those people is that their conviction to the cause is blinding. Some people are never willing to budge, never willing to reconsider anything other than what they believe is true. It's pretty ridiculous that your post was immediately met with the same illogical resistance, but not surprising. Instead of truly considering the bigger picture, these people are hell bent on tearing holes in people's statements, drawing attention to what they perceive are flaws in the statements made, but never really taking the content of it seriously. It's the same thing as beating your head off a wall. I've dealt with people like that in the past and just let it slide, but I really don't think facebook should allow the group to exist. It's ridiculous to think that someone from another country, another part of the world, who knows nothing about Newfoundland or aboriginal cultures can start a hate group to encourage boycotting and create negative attitudes and perceptions. It's propaganda that is nothing short of hate literature.
