"Does it make you feel important, blowing out all those insignificant little flames?"
"It's a tradition…close your eyes, make a wish, blow them all out at once…"
"You don't actually believe your wish will come true? There is a sucker born every millennium."
"Have any better ideas?"
"No…please…carry on."
