Staying Angry Long After It's Over
When someone does something to upset to you at that moment you feel fully justified to hate their soul for all eternity. You forget what it's like to live without them. That you don't know what you have or how good you have you have it until they're long gone. But this is beside the point. Why is it we feel the need to remain angry long after they've apologized? Why do we continue to hold this grunge? Doesn't it feel bad? Wouldn't we prefer not to be angry? Huh.. well if so why hold onto it? Is there some dark pleasure in hating someone? I believe that's it. There's a deep dark sadist pleasure one has in their heart when they hate another. I wonder what biological advantage comes from this. Why has natural selection chosen to favor this trait. What purpose does it serve.
Why do we want to hate?
