[OOC: Biography/Hikari Family History]

May 10, 2020 05:21

Name: Hikari-Asakura Hoshi (later is known as Hikari-Asakura-Ikenami Hoshi after marrying Ikenami Ryuunosuke.)
Age: 25.
Spiritual Age: 1,040.
Race/Nationality: Shamanic human.
Date of Birth: February 27th, 1985.
Eye color: Red.
Hair color: Blond.
Death count: Two.
Current furyoku count: 135,000.

Physical Description: Hoshi stands proudly at five feet seven inches with blond hair and blood-reddish eyes. She has lower back length blond hair that is stylized in various forms, or even is tied up in a ponytail. She does let it down when she doesn't have to be royal, though. Her usual outfit consists of a simple komon, obi, geta, and then split-toed socks. Her hair is done up in various ways with various hair charms. She has two swords strapped to her back when battle commences, and has her dagger, the ancient Ame no Murakumo no Tsurugi, tucked in the fabric of her kimono as well as a fan in which to hit people with occasionally.

Due to an unfortunate accident at the tender age of seven, Hoshi has a long scar on her back that runs from her hairline to her lower back. She also has various scars on her arms, chest, and legs from her training and fighting. On her abdomen, she has a scar from when Shichiyou impaled her. On her back, she has an assortment of tattoos that range from a spiral sun split in two on the back of her neck, the kanji for "light", "drive", "strength", "protection", "lord", "guidance", "wisdom", and "family". She has the word "HIKARI" tattooed all the way across her lower back.

When she has downtime, she settles for a simple yukata, or a haori and a pair of red hakama.

History: Hoshi was born into the Hikari family, an old, but respected shaman family to her mother and father, Hikari Keiko and Hikari Tamotsu. When she was able to walk, talk, as well as eat on her own, her shaman training began and she trained under the tutelage of her grandfather, Hikari Akihiro. Everything seemed to have gone the way it should have, however due to her grandfather having bouts of pnuemonia and influenza, he was forced to stop her training under him at age six. Her parents, as well as her cousin, Hikari Kagura, helped her through her training. A year passed and Hoshi was able to maintain her normal oversoul.

On that fateful night, Hoshi heard screams coming from outside her village's gates when she was doing her rounds. She got there as quickly as she could and saw a man known as nothing but Kurayami Shichiyou cornering kids who were her age or younger to try to lure her out. Hoshi told the kids to get out of there and the fight between her and Shichiyou commenced. He managed to deliver a powerful enough blow to wound her on her back and Hoshi found the strength inside of her to end the battle with her attack "Luminous Punch". She crawled her way back to her village gates, in an extreme amount of pain, and ended up passing out just before she got inside. Her grandmother was alerted and she took her inside, tried what she could to sustain her life until her mother came. Her mother took her to Tokyo to get medical attention for her wounds. She spent a year and a half in Tokyo completing physical rehabilitation for the injuries she sustained, as well as met her first non-shaman friend, whom she affectionately calls "nurse-san". She was awarded with a uniform and then was able to go back to her village. Upon her return, she was bestowed the title of "Hero of the Hikari Village."

With even more determination than ever, Hoshi worked tirelessly for the next few years to surpass her original strength tenfold. When the year 2000 rolled around, the two stars that came every 500 years appeared and Hoshi knew that she was to fight. She passed the preliminaries for the battle. By now, Hoshi had two dreams: save her spirit's race, the "Angelic Entities", as well as find a cure for her grandfather. In the Shaman Fight, she masqueraded around as a boy to not only protect herself, but show that she wasn't a pushover. She learned how to survive on her own in Tokyo and eventually won the two battles that she needed to continue.

The next round of the Shaman Tournament was to be held in the United States of America, and Hoshi boarded the Patch Jumbo Jet, and almost instantaneously, she felt uncomfortable vibes around the Hoshigumi, Hao's team. When she was looking for a seat, she managed to find one near Asakura Yoh, who she eventually became friends with. When it was time for them all to land, the jet turned out to be just a giant oversoul and everyone was let go in the air. Due to the amount of teamwork that her new friends and herself showed, everyone was able to get down safely to the ground.

The time and experiences she shared with her group of friends was definitely what she needed, however she still maintained the image that she was a boy instead of a girl. Soon enough, they were able to get into the Patch Tribe's village. However, for Hoshi, she had to find two people to form a team with for the next round, so she worked on finding any stray shamans in the village. She managed to find two and created "Team Hikari." This was done while she was still keeping up the image of being a guy rather than a girl.

Her team ended up losing their match, meaning that they were officially knocked out of the tournament for good. This didn't deter Hoshi from thanking those who were part of her team for their hard work and she said she'd keep in touch with them. They didn't want to go back home due to all the help that Hoshi did for them and they loved her being their leader, still under the lie that she was a guy instead of a girl.

She and her team disappeared for some time to hang out in the village, not ready to go home yet. However, when Hoshi could tell that there was trouble brewing, she told them that it was an honor to fight along side them and that she'll see them soon. She went as far as she could to be there in the nick of time when Redseb, Seyram and Camel Munzer were in the Golem. She helped in the efforts to get both of the children out of there safely, even though her furyoku count at the time was roughly around 80,000. Why she decided to help was that even though the Golem was massive in furyoku count -- 550,000 furyoku units -- there were children inside of that behemoth, and she didn't want them to suffer anymore. So, it was clear that she was massively underpowered, but being around Yoh made her realize that she could do anything she put her mind to, and so by doing this, she was devoted to helping out that cause. It was with this that she didn't give up in the fight, even when she was knocked to the ground during the fight.

When the fight finally came to a close, Hoshi decided that she would travel with Yoh's group, figuring out that if she didn't, her life would be pretty boring, and that she wanted to find a way to make her dreams come true, as well as figure out an important part of her own history: Why did Shichiyou decide to attack her of all people? She decided from here on out that she wouldn't give up until she figured that crucial piece out.

The time she spent with her friends turned out to be exactly what she needed to finally get out of her shell. She was even comfortable enough to openly admit now that she was a girl instead of a guy. It was with this that her connection to Reiko grew expotentially, and as a result, so did her powers as a shaman.

However, when she turned the age of sixteen, right at midnight exactly, she was greeted by none other than Hikari Tsubasa and Hikari Asuka, her incarnations. She was told by them that her soul is part of their own souls. Dumbfounded by this, she had a bunch of questions to ask them, all of which they answered to the best of their ability. With this newest revelation, Hoshi was still confused about her origins, but she accepted it. What was revealed in this interrogation session was that it wasn't her grandmother who kept her alive all those years ago. It was the power of her own soul and spirit that allowed her to continue surviving long enough to be taken to the hospital. This helped her realize that she was strong all along and that her strength came from within. From this point on, she stopped doubting herself and tried to make the best of her life as much as she could.

While everyone was training in hell, Hoshi didn't want to involve herself in that, so she split up from the group temporarily to find where Shichiyou was. When she found him in a desolate area, the two of them had their confrontation, and Hoshi found out the reason why Shichiyou hated her. It was because he was under the false pretense of her family being responsible for his parents' deaths, but she was able to break through to him that she nor her family would ever do such a heinous deed, and the fight ended with Hoshi slaying him. Shichiyou didn't want to come back to life, so instead, he became a spirit that would follow Hoshi wherever she went.

Some time after, she and Kyoyama Anna became unofficial surrogate sisters after Hoshi had come out to her that maybe she wasn't good enough, earning her the infamous Right Hand Slap, snapping her out of her insecurities, and therefore she promised that the Hikari family would help the Asakuras out however they could.

The fighting wouldn't be over for her just yet, however. She was cornered by a few of Hao's followers, namely the Hanagumi, for killing Shichiyou and turning him against Hao. With Shichiyou's assistance as well as figuring out how to balance both light and darkness, it looked like she was about to win. Regrettably, with the combined effort of the Hanagumi, they managed to kill Hoshi. This is the first time she ever died and her spirit was sent to hell where she had to complete a trial in order to be brought back. She had help from the very first lord of the Hikari family, Hikari Daisuke, through this trial and eventually got out with her furyoku increasing dramatically to about 110,000. She held on to both Asuka's and Tsubasa's fragments, as well as Shichiyou's own. When she escaped from hell, she overpowered the Hanagumi and left them with these words:

"Never underestimate a Hikari. We always come back stronger than before."

After this fight, she met up with Yoh and her friends again to complete the chapter on this story. She went on to the submarine oversoul to evade being killed by Hao once he awoke as the Shaman King. With the strength of their combined souls, they were able to break into his domain. What ultimately resulted from this was that everyone tried their best with trying to break through to Hao with words that he didn't have to do this anymore. It was with this that Hao and Yoh both made a pact that Hao would wait for an undisclosed amount of time and if Yoh could change humanity for the greater good, Hao wouldn't kill them all.

At the end of this, Hoshi finally returned home after bidding her friends farewell and promised that she'd see them again. She was determined from here on out to try to help change humanity with her friends and family. Upon her arrival to her village, she noticed that fresh trees were planted in areas otherwise ravaged by unfinished construction, as well as new natural resources all around. This signified that the Angelic Entities were saved from extinction, and then before she got to the entrance of her village, she saw a man standing at the gates. Confused for a few minutes, Hoshi noticed it was her grandfather standing just as proud and as strong as she remembered him. Overcome by so much emotion inside of her, she ran up to the man and cried at how grateful she was at him being all better.

Her return was accepted warmly and soon after, she was signed in to become her family's thirty-ninth generation of lords and she accepted this and was ready to complete the rituals. What they entailed was reciting a sacred Hikari pledge, followed by signing a document in her own blood. She then burned the bottom of her wrists completely to make the sacred barrier that stood strong for generations upon generations be represented by her own flesh. This had hurt her, but she knew long ago that being the lord meant accepting pain into your own body. While her training to become lord was underway, she remembered fondly of the memories she had with her friends, and never wanted to stop meeting them to check on just how they were doing. As she was initiated and signed in, her family held a banquet to honor their newest lord, as well as welcome back the two most well known lords, besides Daisuke, back from the afterlife. Hoshi accepted her responsibilities as lord and began the newest chapter in the Hikari family with an iron fist, but yet her rules were lenient.

When everyone was invited back for a reunion, Hoshi happily accepted the invitation and arrived by flight to the inn, dressed to the occasion. Due to how her wardrobe in the Shaman Fight was mostly boyish clothes, it was definitely a shock to see her dressed up and her hair down. She disregarded it, but would occasionally revert back to her old ways with joking around with them. She was grateful to see her friends in one place again.

Upon her return, Hoshi still tried to stress the importance of their goal, however this was interrupted when the gates to her village were getting attacked by the Oni. She went to fight against them, and thanks to her heightened furyoku count, she was able to easily blow right through them. Yet, the problem persisted and changes had to be made with how the village would run. Her bedroom was moved from the royal family's mansion to a small hut that was right outside the gates. Days and nights were spent slaying the Oni, however the fights took a toll on her and her spirit. The more nights she spent fighting and not adequately resting, the more tired she grew. She tried to persevere however she could through this, however she was slowly losing her faith that she was going to win this. One day when it reached culmination, she was tired both physically, mentally, and emotionally. To her surprise, her nephew Asakura Hana, swung on by and helped her out with the fight. Thanking him, the two of them, as well as the rest of the village, went on to fight the Oni themselves. What alarmed her the most was a fragment of Hao's soul coming to attack the royal family's mansion. She separated from the group and went to personally deal with it.

The fight ended with her sacrificing herself to protect her village and the fragment was vanquished. Unlike the first time she died, she didn't come back to life. Those strong enough in her village tried to resuscitate her, but it was to no avail. Sadly, it seemed like she was dead for good this time. However, Hana tried his best with bringing her back and what he tried did the trick and she thanked him with a celebratory feast.

With her village under control and in the process of recovery, the toll of the fighting showed deeply on her and she knew that she potentially shortened her life by being reckless like she used to when she was younger, this thought not helping how she was feeling: drained physically, mentally, and even a little emotionally, too. However, she tried her best with making sure that she was fine, despite feeling drained.

Personality: Tsundere is what's used to normally describe Hoshi, however her near default mood is cheerful. She takes each day with enormous stride and she tries her best to take each day with stride. She also will strive to protect those she loves to the very end, no matter what the consequence is. This drive may or may not make her masochistic, something she won't give a straight answer to.

Hoshi also loves nature and is a self-proclaimed nature dork. She spends a great deal of time in trees and under waterfalls. This part of her also helps her become rather keen of her surroundings, something that has come in handy time and time again.

As a result of growing up in the Shaman Fight, as well as realizing her own inner strength, Hoshi has mellowed out from the hothead she used to be. She now realizes that it's better to use your head than your fists and has allowed herself to cry and shed the shell that she used to have around her. She's not afraid to let her shield down now and then and will let herself show more emotions than just happiness and joy all the time.

She doesn't mind bestowing her wisdom and advice with others, either. If there is a pressing situation, she will remain calm and think of a way to either settle differences amicably or try to fight through it while still searching for a way for everyone to come out winning. In addition to this, she's not afraid to crack jokes about various things, however she tries to keep them in good taste.

When it comes to her lord duties, she has a rigid mindset about the rules as well as how things should be ran. She understands that people need room for error in order to grow, so she's easily forgiving in that context. She does not approve of people hurting those she cares about and therefore will see that the punishment fits the nature of the crime, which is how her village has operated since the first generation.

What she doesn't let on is that she has become insecure about herself once more due to wearing her body so down as well as sacrificing herself. This act of selflessness has taken its' toll on her mind and body, therefore making her regret doing it, even if she knows it was for a good cause. She also is burdened by the fact that she cut her life span down considerably because of her being reckless with her life, which doesn't do much in terms of helping herself, however she hides any discomfort with a smile, but still remembers to be herself, happy or sad.

Abilities: Hoshi has a strong sixth sense, allowing her to see ghosts, demons, and spirits. With her being a shaman, she has a variety of attacks that she uses for each oversoul she has. In addition to this, she's able to control multiple spirits at once. She can fly when she's integrated with her spirit. Besides her shamanic abilities and talents, she's a very adept fighter and knows capoeira, which takes in both martial arts, sports, and music (she mostly plays a specific beat in her head for this). She also knows how to wield a dagger, swords, and other weapons, if needed.

As stated previously, she is very good at surviving by herself in forests and other areas.

It's also assumed that since she's become a lord, she has increased oratory skills, as well as rhetoric, in order to inform her people of what to do. She also has a good knowledge of what to do when wartime is active, as well as recovery efforts.

POSSESSION OF BODY

"Bright Bang" - Hoshi charges her furyoku to her finger or to her hand and she can send a bright light at a person. This lasts for evasiveness as well as to distract her opponent.

"Angel Rush" - Hoshi forms a ball of light in one hand and in the other, she materializes angel wings. She combines the two spheres together and sends it at her opponent.

Her medium for this is her body and her weapon of choice is usually her dagger. She will settle on a sword or any other weapon, however.

SKATEBOARD

"Blinding Lightshow" - Hoshi can create a blinding light with her palms. This lasts for evasiveness.

"Luminous Punch" - One of Hoshi's most used attacks. She jumps up in the air, with her fist clenched while her skateboard generates an angel wing to use as a shield or when she's attacking.

"Light Talisman" - Eight orbs of light appear around Hoshi's waist and she sends each of the spheres directly for her opponent, locking them in place. She can control their movement and even render them physically immobile. However, with an attack of this caliber, she has to concentrate, and if her concentration is snapped or she doesn't have sufficient furyoku, her opponent can escape rather easily.

When Reiko is integrated in her skateboard, Hoshi's speed is greatly accelerated. Her oversoul is a rather large angel wing and is surrounded in yellow energy.

CHOU SENJI RYAKKETSU

"Solar Rush" - Hoshi draws two circles, one big and one small around her and in the middle, she draws her family's symbol, a spiral sun split in two halves and she whams it at her opponent.

"Heaven's Flux" - draws the hiragana symbol for light surrounded by two circles. Like Solar Rush, she whams this at her opponent, however this one is more refined than that.

"Pentacle of Faith" - One of Hoshi's ultimate attacks that could possibly kill her in the process. She uses the power of the light to draw a pentacle around herself and sends it at her opponent. She traps them in the middle of it and uses the points the star inside of it has to inflict pain on her opponent. Then, she plays a Russian Roulette-esque game by tossing her dagger up in to the air. If her dagger lands with the hilt up in the sky, she can go to the next step. If it doesn't, then she can't go one step farther.

"Divine Justice" - This is the next step to Pentacle of Faith. Hoshi summons her two incarnations, Hikari Asuka and Hikari Tsubasa. She integrates them in to her own body and uses their power to send eight swords all from the most powerful members of her family, including her own, to go around impaling her enemy. After she's done, she suffers from furyoku exhaustion due to how much these two attacks take out of her, therefore she doesn't use them unless if she's in a dire situation.

Hoshi integrates Reiko into her dagger, the Ame no Murakumo no Tsurugi, and like the rest of her oversouls, her dagger is enveloped in a brilliant white-yellow light and she can materialize an angel wing shield from this oversoul, just like her skateboard oversoul, only that it's more intricately detailed.

On her own development, she constructed two more attacks on her own time and thanks to her own strength and perserverance. It's assumed these were developed during the course of the Shaman Tournament, or even during her lord ship.

Darkness Overcomes Light - This is what she used when she was fighting the Oni off. What it does is that it takes all of the energy she has inside of her and combine it into a devastating blast that's strong enough to vanquish her foe, but it leaves her weaker than the combined force of Pentacle of Faith and Divine Justice. If she uses it, there is a high probability that she will die as a result since it leaves her vulnerable for any kind of attack, even a simple punch.*

Sacred Trinity - This is not an attack, but more of a call. When she utters this, the two parts of her soul go into her body, which can be used for added strength, guidance, or to protect her against lasting damages. She can only use this once in a fight, so she has to be careful of the time she uses it. This is effective for only five minutes and then she cannot use it again in the duration of the fight.

* denotes that due to it being a rather powerful move, it cannot be used in the Digital World due to how dangerous it is for the user.

INCARNATIONS, SPIRIT, AND PARTNER

Hikari Asuka

Hikari Asuka was born in the year 970 AD and when he was thirty, he gained his lordship around 1,000 AD. He used a vast array of weaponry for his mediums and used primarily earth based attacks. He was the first Hikari to participate in the Shaman Tournament, however he lost, but yet returned to his position and died a peaceful death around 1060 AD. He was most known for being called to fight against Asakura Hao, however Asakura Yohken and Matamune killed Hao.

Asuka has knee-length white hair that is normally tied in a ponytail with his eye color being blue. He has a pair of glasses that are small and rest on his nose. He normally wears a yukata that has a royal blue base color and is decorated with suns and moons.

Hikari Tsubasa

Hikari Tsubasa, on the other hand, was born around 1480 AD. He was nothing like Hikari Asuka as he was most known for being someone who loved violence more than anything. He was infamously known as "Tsubasa the Yakuza Killer" due to killing many of them at his own will. He drank, smoked and chased tail as a playtime. Unlike Asuka who let his opponents live, he disfigured or cut off their heads and carted them around. However, he was chosen to be part of the Shaman Tournament that happened in 1500 AD and his team went far, however they were knocked out of the semifinals. He went back to his lordship and ruled with an iron fist, but before he died, he atoned for all of the people he killed by making sure that the next person who would be chosen to go in to the tournament didn't carry the bloodshed he put out by quitting smoking and drinking, and purifying his body. He died in 1576 AD.

Tsubasa, on the other hand, has seafoam green hair that hangs freely to about his knees. He has blood reddish eyes while he wears a yukata that's blood red in base color with a golden dragon wrapping around it. He's always seen with two swords attached to his hips, a cigarette or a bottle of sake.

Reiko

Reiko is essentially Hoshi's spirit partner given to her from her birth. Reiko is one of the many Angelic Entities that are around Hoshi's village and she's used to draw out Hoshi's shamanic powers. How she became her partner is her parents handpicked her to protect their daughter as well as guide her through her journey.

Reiko is dressed in a simple white garment with little bracelets on her ankles as well as her wrists. Her hair is long and blond and she has six wings, three on each side. She is noncorporeal and those who are inherently good, you can see her, as well as Asuka and Tsubasa. Don't ask me. Apparently Mankin operates on "only good people i.e. everyone can see spirits."

Reiko is a nature class spirit.

Tailmon

Tailmon is Hoshi's digimon while she's in the Digital World. Tailmon's personality is that she does care for the wellbeing of her partner, but perhaps does not show it. She's a brash digimon, not afraid to give someone a talking down to, however she's a rather caring digimon, too. Due to how frequently her tamer exhausts herself or gets hurt, she openly displays her concern over this, as well as her own way of saying that she's always there for her tamer, no matter the consequences.

Her evolution line is YukimiBotamon -> Nyaromon -> Plotmon -> Tailmon -> Angewomon -> Ophanimon.

So far, Hoshi has been able to unlock perfect evolution, and has had her digimon evolve all the way to ultimate. That was only once during the battle of Tetha.

Hikari Family History

THIS SECTION IS CURRENTLY UNDER HEAVY CONSTRUCTION. I WILL BE ADDING TO IT!

If you're wondering how Hoshi's village has operated, the mechanics, etc are, look no further!

The Hikari Village is located in Toho, Japan. This is located in the Asakura District, in the Fukuoka Prefecture, on Kyushu Island. The family was started by Hikari Daisuke in year 850 AD. Since then, there has always been a lord, as well as someone in line for the next generation. A generation lasts about thirty years and the next person in line succeeds them. Here is a small timeline of the generations that the Hikari family have had.

850 - 880 AD - Daisuke's reign (First Generation)

1390 - 1420 - nineteenth generation
1420 - 1450 - twentieth generation
1450 - 1480 - twenty-first generation (Tsubasa was born at the end of this generation.)
1480 - 1510 - twenty-second generation (Around here is when Tsubasa competed in the Shaman Fight. He received his lord ship at the end of this generation.)
1510 - 1540 - twenty-third generation (Tsubasa's reign.)
1540 - 1570 - twenty-fourth generation (Tsubasa died at 1576.)
1570 - 1600 - twenty-fifth generation
1600 - 1630 - twenty-sixth generation
1630 - 1660 - twenty-seventh generation

1990 - 2020 - thirty-ninth generation (Hoshi's reign.)
2020 - 2050 - fourtieth generation (due to how Hoshi produced children in 2015, she stood as both the thirty-ninth and fourtieth generation until her child was of age to take the throne.)
2050 - 2080 - forty-first generation (Around here is when Hoshi dies.)
2080 - 2100 - forty-second generation

Now, the village has always operated on a gift economy/reciprocal altruism system. What this means is that where if you need something, like food, clothing, warmth, it's given to you in the expectation that you'll do something to repay the person back. If you aren't doing your fair share of work, you won't be provided with what you need and will, most likely, be asked to leave if you're going to take advantage of this system, or be forced to exile. This has happened very rarely, as well.

Trade is still abundant in between their allies, as well. As far as actual money goes, it's barely used at all. If one needs to go out of the village, they will be given the yen needed or expected to make the money necessary on your own.

Another interesting fact about the village itself is that it has stood the test of time to still stay true to its' roots and has refused to modernize with the rest of Japan. This has helped them live longer lives as well as have a general better quality of life overall due to not having pollution or any other factors inhibiting their village.

The castle from feudal Japan days stands right at the middle of the village, overlooking the rest of the village from afar.
