I don't appreciate those who talk about me behind my back,even if you're my "Shadow." [semi-closed]

Characters: Vincent, Vincent’s Shadow-and also open to anyone who’s replied in Shadow!Vincent’s entry. (Vincent has no idea how to defeat a Shadow because he didn’t ask about that, so he could probably use some advice before he decides to do things his own way.)

Aerith arrived just in time for that last sentence. She had been keeping a wary eye on the network with Vincent's shadow, and luckily a passerby had mentioned they saw a "scary cloaked man" go up the stairs to the roof in the Common. Whether or not it was his shadow, she didn't want to see any more destruction.

Green eyes squinted into the thick haze, and managed to make out two figures. She didn't step any closer, knowing her physical interference would do nothing but probably get herself injured.

"Vincent," she said gently into the fog. "Don't worry, okay? You're not alone."

“Aerith,” he didn’t turn around when he heard her footsteps. “You should not have come.” He stepped forward another pace, knowing that she would stay back, but even so, he did not want this situation to become more precarious than it already was.

"I can...deal with this." At least, he hoped.

Aerith shook her head despite the fact Vincent wouldn't see it. Wasn't that the point of being friends?

"I won't leave you alone," she said firmly, taking a small step forward.

“Cloud would be furious if you were hurt,” he replied. And I could never forgive myself if more people were hurt because of me. “You…” He adverted his gaze briefly. “And I don’t want you to become a liability.”
