It was always busy in the clinic after major missions like these (and even without), and it wasn't surprising that his time was being entirely taken up by his patients. The clinic was responding well to the bustle, however, and Watson was pleased that they hadn't run out of beds this time.

He walked the length of the clinic again, looking into the rooms to see if their patients needed anything. Or that none was attempting an escape, for that matter.

Lili wasn't here because of the mission, of course, she was here healing from her burns. Regardless, it was kind of nice to see it so bust around there. It made her feel less pathetic, and it distracted the doctors from bothering her.

Dr. Watson, though, was always welcome. He managed to come across as genuinely caring, without being annoying. She smiles when he walks in the room, despite her undying hatred for being here.

"Good afternoon, sir."

"Good afternoon, Lili," he greeted warmly, shuffling into her room and putting down a mug of hot tea on the small table by the bed. "I brought you some tea, my dear. It must be thoroughly disturbing to have the clinic all ahoo like this. I do hope you're faring well?"

Watson had a fondness for Lili, despite her tendency to get into all sorts of arguments on the network. He respected her spirit and could see that despite her sometimes rough veneer, she was a truly good at heart.

"Thank you!"

She shifted in her bed, rearranging a pillow with her uninjured arm. "I'm feeling better. It doesn't disturb me. It's more lively this way. I know I don't particularly enjoy the nights without any patients to care for."

Watson chuckled, and pulled at a chair by the wall to sit closer to Lili's bed. "I must be getting on in age, I'm afraid. It's a relief when we don't have as many patients coming in during the day. Have any of our newly confined patients visited you, yet?"

Perhaps Might Gai might, and if the man were to contrive to get himself or his partner hurt, it would be very likely.

"No. I don't usually invite visitors when I'm in here," she admitted softly. "I don't like being seen like this."

Ah, because injury was a weakness among fighters, was that so? He nodded with sympathy, but didn't deign to contradict her. There was nothing wrong with being injured, but of course, his view on the matter would be far different from others.

"Well," he said, smiling and patting the back of her uninjured hand. "It's a pity to deprive your friends of your lovely face, but I'm sure they can survive another few days. You're recovering rather well. Is there anything I can do to make your stay here a bit more comfortable, at the least?"

It wasn't that Lili was ashamed to have been injured. She had never minded getting hurt. It was actually nice to take a break from fighting every so often, it made her appreciate it even more when sh was finally well. Pity, that's what she was afraid of. Lili didn't like people hovering over her, trying to take care of her. Not unless they were being paid to do so, like a butler. She could give all the nurturing in the world, but taking it was another story entirely.

Lili smiled, instinctively moving to toss her hair over her shoulder, only to realize it wasn't necessary. It had to be cut after the fire, it only went down to her shoulders now. It was going to take a while to adjust to.

"I'm not sure if I like the hair yet. I've got to at least figure that out first," she said. "I don't know. I'm comfortable enough, considering."

It seemed that Lili didn't need much of anything, but Watson did worry. To his experience, being confined to bed was a miserable enough time. It was only fortunate that she wouldn't have to stay here for weeks or months.

"I'm unfortunately not quite as well-versed about female hairstyles to comment, but I do think it's fine," Watson said innocently. Perhaps he should send Mary Weather to keep her company once in a while? The young girl was earnest and would surely be able to relate more to Lili.

"I appreciate it," she said. Typically, she wouldn't want anyone who wasn't close to her to be around her in the hospital unless necessary, but it was a hair crisis. A feminine word of advice would most likely be welcome.

"I shall mention it to her," he promised, rising to his feet. "In fact, I believe I may search her out right now." She didn't seem overly tired, nor was she in any sort of brown study.
