The situation in Europe seemed to be in hand despite the chaos in the cities. A report had already come in from Vienna that the emitter was already under heavy attack, and the situation in Prague was quickly improving. Still, Spirit wouldn't stop being tense until the entire debacle was over.

He was in the clinic at that moment, striding in from the mirror after dealing with a particularly large kishin egg in Frankfurt.

[ Maru-Maru had dropped Yachiru off at the clinic a while ago and said something about being good and helping the staff if they need anything, though Yachiru's not sure what exactly she could do. It's not like she's from the fourth division, and all she ever was good at was helping Ken-chan wrap bandages whenever he got hurt. But it seems like there are doctors and nurses that know how to tie bandages better than Yachiru.

So she's spent most of her time here with a thick stack of paper and crayons, coloring and drawing pictures for everybody! This is being helpful too, right?

But when a leg suddenly comes out of a mirror, Yachiru just stares until that leg becomes part of a body and-- uwaaaa! It's Spear-Spear! Spear-Spear just came out of a mirror! In a sudden flurry of excitement, papers and crayons flying, Yachiru bounds over to Spear-Spear excitedly, waving. ]

SPEAAAAAAR-SPEAAAAAAAR!!!!!

[His face turns from mild confusion to a BIG BIG SMILE as he recognizes the little imp, and without asking, immediately picks her up to carry.]

Heeey, Yachiru! Whatcha doing here?

[ Yachiru's arms go around Spear-Spear's neck easily and she gives him a happy hug before leaning back so she can look at him properly, giggling. ]

Anou ne, anou ne... Maru-Maru said he had to go on a mission with Izurun! So he told me to stay here and be good and wait for him an' to help the staff with anything if they need it! So I've been drawing pictures for everybody!! [ Babbles excitedly. ]

[Grinning happily because this is a pretty nice treat after all the stress from the past week. He's starting to show wrinkles and he's only 32!!]

Did they go? I'm sure they'll be back soon! But what a nice present that is for people. Show Spear-Spear what you drew?

Un!! I drew Maru-Maru and Izurun a picture so they can have it when they get back. It's over there...

[ Yachiru points to the table with the paper and crayons, making no attempt to get down from Spear-Spear's arms. On the table there appears to be some drawings, some of which have been aborted or half drawn... but there is one in the center that she's clearly been working on very much... ]

[Spirit trots over obligingly, careful not to knock over any of the boxes that the doctors had moved out to the main room, and peered at that one drawing in particular.

Oh, so that's Maru Maru! The guy kind of reminds him of Stein in some ways. Probably the smile.]

This looks great! Aaw, look at that, it's our sun! Izurun looks like he's sunbathing, huh?

[ Yachiru giggles, snuggling against Spear-Spear happily. She hasn't really gotten too many hugs lately, so it's nice to be held for once... ]

Un! Izurun doesn't really like to smile too much... I guess Maru-Maru does all the smiling for them both ne!!

[He's happy to snuggle right back, and pats Yachiru's head automatically. Aaah, it's been a while since Maka was this small...]

He looks like he smiles a lot, doesn't he? I guess he has to if his partner is a pouty face!

[ Yachiru nods emphatically in agreement! ]

Maru-Maru smiles all the time an' Izurun never smiles so I guess they balance each other!!

[ And then Yachiru brightens when she sees another drawing peeking out under the one of Maru-Maru and Izurun. ]

...ah! I drew Super Boobies too! It's under that...

[ She points at the corner of a picture that if pulled out, will reveal a lovingly rendered Super Boobies drawing... ]

[He does pull it out, and stares in a great deal of bewilderment. Maybe Yachiru was just mistaken? Or was this super boobies just carrying meatbuns in her shirt? She was familiar, though -- by face, anyway. Spirit couldn't have missed seeing gigantic breasts walking around, could he? Impossible! Was this actually bigger than Blair's?]

[He laughs.] This is a nice drawing, too! She looks like a nice person, doesn't she? [clears his throat] What else have you drawn?

I drew lots of things, Spear-Spear!!! But I got real excited when you came outta the mirror, so they're all on the floor now.

[ Yachiru giggles and points at the various drawings and papers that are scattered all over the floor. ]

I drew pictures for everybody that's sick! And I drew Ken-chan too!!

[ Under the table and across the floor, various pictures peer up from the ground. There seems to be several "feel better" pictures, a few pictures of the night sky, and buried underneath all the different drawings is Ken-chan. ]

[Spirit obligingly bends down -- still holding on to her -- and starts picking them up, giving them a look and chuckling at what he's seeing.]

Hahaha, aaaaw, that's really cu--- Holy Shinigami, that is one scary Ken-chan! Spirit thought that he'd just be a normal dude.]

Whoa, he looks s[cary]--trong!

[ You have no idea, Spear-Spear. ]

Un! Ken-chan is the stroooongest shinigami in the whole wide world! [ Yachiru chirps rather happily, so full of pride, arms wound around Spear-Spear's neck. ]

[Well, he supposes that's a good thing, if he can protect her...]

Is he your papa or something? You don't really look alike... [still fixing the pictures, yes.]
