Sleepy time under the cut )
Quietly slipping into the seat directly in front of yours. He's going to get some work done here and see how long it'll take before you wake up.]

[That may actually be a few hours, Roy, unless you do something more to wake her up. As chance would have it she's not much of a light sleeper after quite a few nights of not enough sleep.]

Besides, he likes the apple pie they serve here. Reminds him of home.]

[it seems that even though she's content to sleep longer, her senses pick up that roy is there, and no matter how much she just - wants to sleep - nope. maybe an hour or hour and a half later she slowly lifts her head, looking around and just maybe, ever so slightly, confused, before she lays eyes on Roy.
Oops. Looks like she picked the wrong day to fall asleep in a cafe.] How long have you been here?

[He doesn't mind. From the looks of it, he's done a good amount of work done!]

Shit. [she carefully rubs at her eyes, trying not to smear her eyeshadow all over her face. this is kind of an art, particularly when her vision is so blurry at the moment.]
Hm. I should get a cup of coffee..

[And he's already calling for a cup.]

[ah, well. time to make conversation then.]
I've figured out that the one who was delivering the anonymous text messages was not Lain. [she pauses for a moment to deny the cream and sugar as her coffee is delivered - probably best not to get herself used to those luxuries again to return to her world where they're few and far between.]
The speech pattern is completely different than those within the messages.

[she shrugs as she takes a grateful drink of coffee, hoping the caffeine can at least motivate her to crawl into bed.]
I don't know that just yet. But I intend to find that out.

[Have a measured look in your direction.]
Looks like the sleepless nights caught up with you.

Heh, thrill seeking that way? [well, everyone has to get their thrills one way or another. but his next statement makes her shrug, taking another long drink of her coffee again.]
I'll be fine.

Just in the way that I'll go back to my place, nap, and be good as new. [or go back to her place with every intention of sleeping and then never do it. that's been known to happen more often. she'll still just continue placidly drinking that coffee, though.]

You've been having trouble sleeping, haven't you? Anything up?
Reply
No. I've always had sleeping issues. But without a closely regulated schedule and everything else that had been set up back in Romdeau to aid my sleeping, this is how I've been. [She shrugs, having gotten used to the exhausting round abouts of barely sleeping until crash point and waking up curled up on the floor of the Rabbit, or something similar.]
I'm used to the cycle, Roy. I'll be fine.
