BREW activating again had brought with it a sense of dread, and that sense had manifested into an overwhelming need to be distant from the new arrivals. He had seen first and foremost who had arrived early, the post something he couldn't even reply to. He had simply watched and waited before planning out how his duties would keep him busy and occupied. That's all he thought that he needed: keep busy.

As such, he remained carefully neutral for the whole event. He knew that his quiet demeanor would tip his weapon off, but he sensed that he wasn't the only one distracted by this point. Sephiroth was just as distracted by the new arrivals as he was, but there was no point in pressing for information on what was bothering the silver-haired man. No, Sephiroth would tell him in time, even though the return wasn't necessarily needed. Sephiroth knew that Zack had returned too and had been watching him like a hawk.

He trudged along back towards the Casualty Communal building after checking in with things to do with their Watch units. He found himself looking at the various signs as they walked, a casual distraction even if he felt as if something wasn't right. Had Kadaj broken out of jail so soon? No, the kid felt different in his mind, so who? He hadn't seen Yazoo for awhile, so maybe it was that one? He couldn't tell them apart sometimes, which lead to confusion such as this.

Still, he kept walking, hoping to make it back to the apartment without incident.
