Seeing a familiar figure in the mall, Lucy perked up and straightened herself out, raising her arm and giving an obvious wave. "Kasuga!" she called out; her voice resounding clearly, allowing her cheerful demeanor to be transferred through her entirety. Her lips curving into a smile, she jogged lightly over to the blond ninja.

But, as Lucy came closer, her smile faltered. Was she imaging things or did Kasuga seem a little troubled and...maybe even nervous? Cocking her head to the side, she asked, "are you okay? Did I catch you at a bad time?"

Looking round, Kasuga quickly found the voice that had called her name out. It had been unexpected, yet not unpleasant to see the other woman approach her. As it were, Kasuga knew so few people and those she spoke to most often did not exactly seem the mall going type unless they truly needed something.

The small amount of tension that had left her body at seeing a familiar face promptly returned at Lucy's question. "Ah-- N-No! It is not that..." she trailed off, glancing away slightly in a sort of shame she could not explain. Nervously, her fingers fiddled with the hem of the happi she was wearing. "I... am in need of clothing... I-I am afraid I do not know what to look for her."

A huff of air escaped her lips as she smiled in relief. As long as it wasn't anything life-threatening or heart-breaking (Death City seemed to have a lot of the two) - this was fine.

"Ah, you did mention not being accustomed to the clothes here..." she trailed off, putting some careful consideration into her words. Ah, that's right. "How about we look around together. Though, I don't know much about Death City, its fashion doesn't seem so different from Fiore. Plus, having some girl time out is always nice." And, just in case her words weren't nearly reassuring enough she grinned, giving the thumbs up.

"Leave it to me, okay? I will definitely be sure to give you the best advice!"

Girl time? Kasuga blinked widely at the younger blonde, before nodding. "Yes, perhaps that is best..." It was obvious she did not know what to make of the situation. There was much to it than simply picking out a new set of clothing.

As it were, Kasuga was not used to any sort of bonding besides the quiet times she spent with the warlord she served. Girl bonding was almost unheard of. "Where do you suppose we try first...?"

Yes, girl time! Lucy smiled as she motioned over to one of the nearby stores. "Doesn't that store look good!" No, it really wasn't much of a question as it was a statement, but hey! "Plus, it seems like it would have a lot of variation." She paused considerately before continuing, "...and since I don't know what you prefer, I thought that would be for the best." She was obviously getting pretty chatty, which was not surprising considering her excitement, but was it overwhelming? Probably.

"What colors do you like?" she asked nonchalantly as she started making her way towards the store; though about one-fourth of the way, she glanced back over at Kasuga. Was she going to be okay?

Already, Kasuga was finding that she was having a difficult time keeping up with the younger woman. As she let her lead her, she could not help but to feel a stronger sense of doom from something as simple as picking out a new outfit than she could have imagined. Variation was not a thing a ninja usually looked for in an outfit so much as versatility.

"I- Colored was not something I particularly considered, though I believe I am best suited to black."

As fate would have it for Kasuga, the more hesitant she looked, the more Lucy felt the need to help her which might not been really helping her.

“Black sounds good!" She paused considerately as she analyzed the store from the outside. "There seems to be a lot of black clothes in that aaaand ... that section of the store,” she said, pointing here and there from the front of the store. Shopping always had this way of easily exciting her. "Your usual clothes are pretty well-fitted so I think we should take that into consideration as well when looking for something.” Plus, Lucy could relate on that end; baggy clothes were just ill-fitting and not very practical for physical activities (including but not limited to guild antics and battles).

Kasuga's mouth stood open stupidly as the other blond prattled on about things that only half made sense to her. Eyes followed her directions as the feeling in her stomach only sunk lower. Surely, this was a bad idea...

Realizing that she should probably say something, Kasuga nodded in response. "If you do not mind, I will leave it to you."

"Of course!" and with that she busied herself with fingering through the racks.

Though, it took her about a good ten minutes, she finally limited her decision between three outfits. (And obviously, they were tight, dark-toned and slightly revealing but that's nothing new.) Smiling to herself and feeling entirely accomplished, she held them out for Kasuga to see.

"So? What do you think?"

All the while Lucy dug through racks of clothing, Kasuga stood watching in silent awe as she shifted from one foot to the other awkwardly. When the younger blond held up the several outfits, Kasuga blinked. They were not what she was expecting at all and truthfully just a glance told her the mechanics of clothing were not what she was used to. But they were, however, what she had asked for.

After a moment's hesitation, she voiced her necessary concern, "How do they go on?"

"They go on kind of like this," and so she begins her rather sloppy and horribly executed explanation. There's a lot of "oh, it goes on like this here" and "like that over there" before she stops and rubs the back of her head sheepishly.

"...did that help at all?"

It didn't help, but Kasuga is far too polite to say as much. "Perhaps-- Perhaps it would be easier if I tried them on first..." her eyes flit around the store, trying to locate a place to do so, but it was still far too different than what she was used to that she was just as clueless as ever. Of course, she completely missed the fitting rooms sign.
