Shizuo's demeanor easily caught Kasuga's attention even from the corner of her eye and long before she recognized the somewhat familiar voice. It was almost as if his anger could be felt from a mile away and to a woman such as herself, the way she followed his movement out of the corner of his eye was only natural.
It wasn't until she realized that it had been the partner of Motochika (he was a stop sign most of the time, after all), that she turned her body in order to watch him directly. As she neared, she debated whether to call out to him or let him storm on by without noticing her.
Mind made up, Kasuga took a deep breath before she stepped forward. "Excuse me-- It is Shizuo, correct...? I-Is everything alright?"
both... at the same time!ablushingbladeJune 11 2011, 03:31:14 UTC
As if watching him smash a potted plant in anger wasn't enough of a scene, his not knowing who she was caused a flush to creep across her face. Of course, it was a necessary duty for easily pin-point voices and who belonged to her. In her line of work, one tiny mistake and the wrong person could end up dead... not that she'd leave anyone behind that would catch her anyways.
Avoiding eye contact, Kasuga bows slightly in formal greeting. "F-Forgive me. I am Kasuga-- I aided Michelle last night as she fought along side your partner."
"There is no need to apologize," she said quickly with a curt nod in response. She did not expect people to recognize her, even outside of her bladed form.
Watching him with wide eyes, she blinks several times as he simply makes a bigger mess of the one he had already made. It had taken her a moment to even process that he had said anything to her as she stared at the place where he had let the ashes fall.
"Ah-- Yes, we suffered no more than a few bruises and scratches."

"You are correct, though it was merely fatigue. It is nothing that should harm her in the long run. It was, after all, her first time if I was not mistaken." Her words came out almost as if she were reciting a book, her focus primarily on his actions than what actually came out of her mouth. Watching and listening to Shizuo fight alongside Motochika was one thing, but actually talking to him face-to-face was something else entirely. Even in her time in Death City she had never seen anyone act quite like him.
"Yes, I thank you," she nodded in response to his question. "From what I could see, you fought well yourself."
The kunoichi nodded in response, "I hope that you and your partner are also okay?" While looking him over, it was clear he had indeed been doing well, but one could never be too sure.
"That is not very long, but I can see that he handles you very well as you say. Your weapon form, though... It is strange to me. I had never seen such a thing before my arrival and it had not occurred to me that it could be used as such."
The more Kasuga watches him, the more she wonders if he really intends to leave the mess and ashes all over the floor like that. Though the tap of his cigarette causes the tiniest of flinches, she otherwise keeps her mouth shut on the subject. It is not her place to scold him, after all.
"I see, but you said you have used one as a weapon before?" It didn't make sense to her at all.
Her confusion mixed with awe that a man could fight with anything of his choosing in such a way. The expression showed on her face plain as day. "You must be highly skilled to achieve such a feat. I know few who can truly fight with anything and still manage to survive."
