[Date responds with another small grunt.] There’s no use wondering too much about Hi-No-Moto when we can’t return there at all until BREW decides to. Since we’re here, we might as well do our best here and try to get back as soon as possible. [Even if now, at times, Date can only wonder just when the end would be - its so hard to think about it now, more and more. The war is still going here, and it only seems like the other party is gaining the advantage; the last attack had shown that much, at least. Worrying, really...]

[...but again, there’s not much he can do at the moment. The older samurai frowns a bit, resisting the urge to bite his lip as he directs his attention to his refilled glass of water (one of the waitresses had filled it up earlier) and downs a mouthful of it before speaking again.] Besides, this place ain’t half bad anyway if you ignore the heat and sun and the moon above.

[No matter what, the sun and the moon would forever be creepy to Date. Seriously, why the hell did they even have faces? It was just unsettling.]

That’s the only thing we can do at this moment. [For Date himself, he has every intention to go back to Oshu once this war was over, of course - while Death City and its inhabitants had grown on him in ways he never expected, in the end his own people and lands were still the most important thing, first and foremost. As much as he might regret having to put Death City behind him in the future, his priority was always with Oshu; there was no way around that. That was the responsibility he carried as the head of Oshu.]

[Taking another drink of his water, Date falls into a contemplative silence for a moment, wondering. Thinking about it, he had changed quite a bit ever since his first arrival in this world - a lot of things had happened as well, and more and more these days he found himself wondering about things he wouldn’t even have thought about back in Hi-No-Moto.] ...I do hope that this war can be finished though, for all our sakes. [Now more than ever, there’s so much more riding on it then when he first began.]
