Description: Sasuke almost insulted the honour of a lady like the butt he is, so it's pretty much up to Eridan to challenge a little boy to a duel. and probably get his ass kicked for it. at least the troll's got his partner back with him to help out. danger! excitement! romance(?!?!) all in this week's episode of Eridan Does Stupid Shit, Again!
[the more he thought about it, in the past two days since he'd issued the challenge, the more Eridan came to realise that this wasn't so much a duel as, say... an execution. the only response to disrespect as flagrant as the sort he'd had the misfortune to be subjected to.
it was why he had no qualms about spending all day rigging the ruined restricted zone he'd grown accustomed to as a sort of training ground. and why he planned simply on ambushing the stupid fuck when he arrived. fairness wasn't an issue here, not when his opponent was barely fit to let his blood water the earth. as best he could, Eridan worked at weakening structures and raising cover against what he knew would be a hideous, nuisance of a setting sun. any conqueror worth his salt knew how to work the terrain to his advantage -- he didn't forsake the sea to wage a war on land and learn nothing from it, after all.
although part of all the fuss was, yes, to make sure kicking this Uchiha brat's butt went as smoothly as possible... ever the showman, he also wanted to impress Kerrigan. sure, their last "stealth" exercise went less-than-wonderfully, but here was where it really mattered, didn't it? he'd just make this the quietest, cleanest fucking kill he'd ever blasted through somebody's skull.
the need for stealth, however, wasn't enough to make him forsake his lurid purple cape (and the rest of his regalia). nothing was quite as important as looking the part of the noble sea dweller righteously striking down the snotrag land dweller. from his first vantage point on the low roof of a run-down old building, concealed behind machinery that'd long since fell into disuse, he whiled away the last hour before the appointed time of battle, waiting for his partner who was to be his instrument of murder, and his unwitting, ill-fated prey.]
