Description: Maka goes to visit Kid to see how he's coping with the aftermath of the Halloween attack.
Despite her attempts to keep her attitude somewhat upbeat and positive, Maka swirled with inner turmoil. Crone felt responsible for Medusa's attack on the city, Soul felt resonsible for being overtaken by the black blood, and Maka felt partially responsible for losing Adachi to the enemy. If she had been stronger, if she had been able to help Soul sooner, then Papa wouldn't have needed to stop and help her. Papa might have been able to stop their enemies.
Or maybe he would have just gotten himself killed without Stein. It was hard to say.
Regardless, she knew it was stupid to dwell on what-ifs. It wouldn't change what had happened, and moving forward was important, but she couldn't just stop worrying about her friends.
Speaking of her friends, Kid was proabably taking this really hard, too. Being shoved into the position of Shinigami at their age was just crazy, and he'd been doing really well considering. But this had to have been a hard blow, and now he couldn't even leave the city. His father at least had been around a long time before his soul was tied to Death City. If they could get Adachi back...
...no, they would probably have to kill him, right? It was hard to say now, with so little information.
For now, Maka had decided to go see how her friend was doing. In her eyes, Kid was just her friend, Shinigami or not, and friends were supposed to depend on one another. Besides, they hadn't been able to just talk in awhile.
Stepping up to the front door, Maka rapped her knuckes against it, making sure to make her knock as centered as possible.
It was his house, after all. Better not stress him out any more than he was already.
