Description: It's like walking outside in your brand new neighborhood to discover you moved in beside your archenemy-- Actually, that's exactly what it is.
She was suffering from a bad case of cabin fever, after all that time in bed after the fight, and once she could get on her feet for more than a few minutes without a horrible dizzy spell, Rhode was pacing. First around her room, listening to the noise of her silly little device from where it sat on the bed, until she couldn't stand the walls of the room anymore. It was dark, thankfully, when she slipped out into the hall. Nobody would be up at this time of night. The silence was eerie; she couldn't hear a breath of air, or the soft call of the dreams carrying on behind these doors.
Lonely. That's what it was like, without the sound of thoughts and dreams to keep her occupied. Decades of being able to do as she pleased, see what she wanted within anyone's mind, and suddenly she was alone with her own dreams, trapped in her own head.
Every door she passed was a harsh reminder of her isolation, and she kept walking, focused on the end of the hall and keeping her steps quiet. Boring, boring, nothing to do. She wanted to fight, but she didn't have her powers. She wanted to bother someone, but her family wasn't here. She paused at the bottom of the stairs, looking up for a thoughtful moment before turning to look back down the hall.
Not a soul, and not a sound.
Rhode sighed before starting down the hall once more. If she was still alert by the time she walked up and down again, she'd go explore the other floors. Until the sun came up, or she felt tired, it wasn't as if she had anything more interesting to do.
