Not for the first time, Spirit felt a little like tearing the hair off his head because of these guests. Haru had escaped from his apartment and was probably running around somewhere getting high or hurt or molesting innocent people, and where was Spirit? Giving two rude guests a tour to the innermost chambers of Shibusen to take a look at the BREW.

He'd gone through the several locked doors, rooms, and passageways to get to the BREW, and stood back now as he watched what they were going to do with a wary, impatient eye. Sephiroth had asked him to keep quiet, but it wasn't like Spirit was in a mood to be chatty. His face was like stone, and probably only Maka could soften it!

"It's not going to listen to you," he said anyway, as a warning for future disappointments. Spirit planted himself beside the door, arms crossed over his chest, and settled to watch.

Kadaj may have been impulsive, egoistical, and obsessive, but he wasn’t a fool. Sephiroth was all too eager to bring him here. He knew that there was something more to BREW than what it would seem, nevertheless, the temptation to actually get his hands on it and utterly destroy it was all too tempting -even with the red flags going off inside his head.

The remnant followed Sephiroth in complete silence. There was nothing he had to say to the ex-general. Kadaj paid particular attention to how they got there, which keys where used in which doors, and any other information Kadaj felt pertinent. There was a chance he’d need to come back here if things did not go according to his plans.

The remnant wasn’t a fan of their red headed escort, but then again he barely paid attention to the man. “It’s a machine,” Kadaj stated simply in response to Spirit. “It doesn’t have a mind of its own. It’ll do what its owner tells it to do.” Idiot. Which brought up a good point. “Who controls it?”

With great ease he approached BREW. “This is it?” He ( ... )

He knew well that BREW wouldn't listen, considering that it was still granting the the childish wish it was asked. That knowledge was something Sephiroth hadn't shared, but it was hardly his place to do such a thing as it was. He wasn't even going to begin to know how the irritating device worked, so he ignored the first question to allow for that foolish Deathscythe to answer.

"You asked to be taken to the device, and that is what you now stand before," Sephiroth smoothly said while watching Kadaj pick the small machine up. "You, more than anyone, should be aware that looks can be deceiving, or have you already forgotten the power materia holds in comparison to its size?"

"This is a sentient machine," he said with a shrug of a shoulder. "It does what it wants. Right now, it wants you to be here."

He had better leave this to Sephiroth, though. For someone who was anti-social and grumpy, he at least knew how to deal with this kid. Maybe they were related? Come to think of it, they did look a little alike.
