AROUND SHIBUSEN callmecrona February 19 2011, 15:43:21 UTC
Crona really wasn’t sure why this was happening. It had been a good while since s/he had to do anything in these sort of things, and really - it was so, so much easier to just not notice them instead and stick to his/her own things. But help was needed this time since Shibusen was shorthanded, and Maka had personally come over and asked for help since there was nobody else available at the moment... and whenever it came to Maka, Crona could never really say no to the one person who was pretty much his/her true friend ( ... )

Aqua doesn't think she's ever heard anyone stutter so much before.

She frowned when the other voice spoke up, but didn't comment in case it made the (girl? Boy?) even more nervous. But that didn't mean she wasn't going to do anything.

When the...the person called (her? Him?) 'Crona', didn't they? When Crona was done, Aqua walked over and, wearing a small smile, said, "You're...Crona, right? Thank you for the information you've given us."

Even though Crona was keeping his/her gaze down, the kid could still notice somebody coming up and that made Crona curl inside, just a little. So many people... and they were all going to ask so many question... how to handle them...? Crona really had no idea whatsoever.

Crona took a step back instinctively as the other came closer, gaze turning away as Crona attempted to keep his/her gaze elsewhere and not needing to look at the guests instead. Though the words did surprise the kid, and Crona had to blink a few times as they processed in his/her mind. Once that was done though the kid was still looking down, feet shuffling as s/he replied.

"A-Ah..." Crona tried to start, only to fail. Somebody so new and so strange... and also a girl... how to deal with this... "M-Maka was the one w-who wrote it for me, s-so..."

She waited patiently for Crona's reply, keeping that same smile on her face even if Aqua doubts Crona could see it at all with (her? His?) head down like that.

"Maka? Who's that?" She asked softly.

Crona edged back nervously at the prompt, silent for a moment as Crona tried to reply. There were many things that Crona could say about Maka really, but s/he couldn't voice even a fraction of them out due to his/her own constant state of nervousness. It was better than last time of course, but still...

"F-Friend..." came the response, Crona still staring at the floor. Maka was Crona's friend - the first, and the best.

"I see."

It was Aqua's turn to fall silent, and her smile took on a wistful quality. The word 'friend' brought up mixed feelings, most of them good, and she tried hard not to dwell on the ones that weren't.

"And Maka helped you write all that? It sounds like you have a good friend."

A nod now, and surprisingly this one was much more confident and certain then everything else Crona had shown. "M-Maka is my... good friend."

A very, very good friend, and one Crona was very glad to have. For if it wasn't for Maka, Crona was sure that s/he would never have been able to get to where s/he was right now.

"I have two good friends." She offered, reminding herself that it wad 'have' and not 'had' because they weren't gone, and all three of them had made a promise. Friends forever.

"I was looking for a way to get back to them before I was brought here." She didn't add that if it wasn't for them she would probably already be dead.

Looking for a way to get back to them? Crona could understand that, just a bit. Circumstances might be different, but the kid had went though something of a similar experience - though at least for him/her, it had ended well enough (the alternative would have been far worse, as a certain other timeline would have shown).

Looking down once more and now feeling quite guilty, Crona fiddled with the cards in his/her hand while mumbling out a barely audible 'sorry' for the other.

She barely caught the apology, but even if she hadn't, the way Crona was looking at the floor again spoke volumes,

"I'll find them again." Aqua said with more conviction than she felt sometimes, "No matter how long it takes, I'll find my way back to them. So you see," She smiled, "There's nothing for you to apologize for."

In a way, this person was reminding Crona a little of Maka... but that could be just Crona's throughts. The kid didn't exactly have much social interaction until meeting Maka, where she had changed to many things for Crona - all of them for the better. Maybe that's why Crona wasn't as nervous now before this other person. Still, though...

"B-But BREW took you here..." Crona started, stare still pointedly fixed at the ground. "...now you can't find your friends because of it..."

"It doesn't make a difference. I was...already trapped somewhere else before I was brought here." At least she actually had an idea of how she could get out of this place.

"Besides," She got down on one knee so that she could look up into Crona's face, "My friends will always be here." She placed a hand on her chest, over where her heart would be, "No matter where I am, as long as we believe in each other, as long as I keep them in my heart, nothing can ever truly separate us because our hearts will always find their way back to each other."

It was this belief that made it possible for her to survive the Realm of Darkness.

Already... trapped somewhere...? Crona wasn't that certain on what the other was talking about, but it did seem that it wasn't that all good at least.. Crona glanced up just slightly, wanting to speak when the guest kneeled on one knee before him/her, and Crona took a step back out of surprise, uncertainty showing yet again.

"Friends..." Crona started, pausing as s/he stared at where the other had her hand at. "They're... in your heart?" Just like courage...?

"Yes. If you let them in."

Then, remembering that she hadn't even introduced herself yet, she said, "My name's Aqua, by the way."

This guest didn't seem to be too bad, now that Crona could talk with her more... she did remind Crona of Maka in some ways, so maybe that could be why. At any rate, this 'Aqua' wasn't as scary as some of the other guests who Crona could see in the crowd.

Pushing down the lump that had formed in the back of his/her throat, Crona blinked once before introducing him/herself back in turn. "C-C-Crona."

"It's nice to meet you, Crona." Then, noticing that most of the people seemed to be moving towards the door now, Aqua stood up.

"Looks like we're moving." She gave Crona another smile, "Take care."
