Description: The city is under attack; the Return of the Sand Muks; the return of something more auspicious; and Dude, why are our hands glued together?
It's almost immediately after Spirit's accidental post that the new alarm system sounds off throughout the city, alerting everyone to the otherwise silent return of the sand constructs. You'd think that they'd have given up after their failure to kidnap anyone the other day, but no, they're back, bigger and stronger, and this time they're not out to take prisoners. Fight for your lives, because their creators have sent out the command: kill as many of the technicians and Shibusen guests as possible and bring the city to its knees.
And that's not the only problem the city's inhabitants will have to contend with: the witches themselves have snuck into the city. Meisters with the Soul Perception skill will be able to sense two evil, powerful presences somewhere in the vicinity. They've taken off their Soul Protect for some reason, and have cast a spell directly over the center of the city; everyone will be glued by the hand to the person nearest to them. It sounds like a ridiculous status effect, but just wait until you have to fight against one (or two or three) of those murderous sand constructs with someone stuck to you.
There's something else: people near the first floor of the Casualty Communal might hear a pop in the fabric of space and feel something like a concussive wave of power washing out from unit M. It's nothing so remarkable compared to the chaos enveloping the rest of the city, but those of you who do decide to investigate will be in for a surprise.
