“Heh,” Dawn chuckled, a bit amused. So it was for the others. Those poor people who had to live on more food than usual. For the first few years of being here, she couldn’t stand eating this small amount of food, but now she didn’t mind eating. Sometimes she didn’t eat at all.

Maybe it was because she was depressed. She just couldn’t let it go, even after five years after his death. It took too much of a toll on her. But she couldn’t show that, not to anyone she didn’t know too well, at least.

“So, that’s pretty much for the ones who are stuck here, basically.”

Ling answered her with a small wry smile. "More or less. Or for anyone new perhaps, who have been neglected by their Masters." Ling himself rarely had such problems, being the favored of his Master, but that didn't mean the others were in similar shape.

"Or to prepare for the days to come," He added a bit offhandedly, referring mostly to the information that had been passed around as of late.

Dawn shrugged. “We haven’t seen many new arrivals in quite some time.” It was a fact and something that she considered as the truth. Her inner self didn’t want to see anyone go through the same exact thing that she did, after all. Besides, it wasn’t like she really cared too much about other people. Everyone was “dead” to her, after all. And that’s what mattered the most.

Everything was gone. Closing her eyes for a moment with a sigh, she looked down before giving a solemn look at the one who she was speaking to. “The days to come…it’s going to be hard, isn’t it?” It was a definite statement, and she didn’t like it.

She had to remain calm, or else she would go mad again. She hated speaking, but what she hated more than that was pure and utter boredom. It was the worst thing in the world, and was the biggest evil that could be conjured up anywhere. Boredom made her think, and she didn’t like thinking. Especially when all she thought about was either him or how to kill those people who didn’t help her.

Who didn’t save her.

…It was hard.

Some of that warmth dropped from Ling's expression. He gave Dawn an honest glance before replying.

"I'm unsure. It's possible. It doesn't hurt to be prepared, regardless," For all the good it does. There were some things, one could never be prepared for. In his case, it was the possibility of meeting a ghost face to face.

Dawn gave a small nod, understanding that it quite possible for more people to arrive. As long as that chance wasn’t zero… “That’s true. We’ll all have to be well prepared for what is to come,” she said coldly, the smile dropping. She knew that since people had come from the past, it was quite obvious that chaos would soon occur. It wasn’t going to be pretty, but she had to hold on.

She was still alive, after all, right?
