Description: Rhode is back from her sudden disappearance, and she has a lot to catch up on with one of her favorites.

( Then the conversation stopped, and I looked down at my feet... )

He was on the couch, like the usual. Kuroro would prefer the bed -- it had enough space for both him and Kurapika, really, and it had been a while since he'd had a clean bed to sleep on -- but with his instincts on the fritz courtesy of Crane, he thought that it was likely for him to attack Kurapika in the middle of the night than not. At least there were no nightmares, not that he slept long enough to have one...

Kuroro was on his feet the moment the door opened, book in a position where attacking with it was possible. Ah...

"Rhode," he greeted, pleased, smiling immediately and easing himself down on the couch. In terms of how he looked, not much was different, although picking up the habit of not eating was starting to dent his weight and muscles.

Unperturbed by his sudden movement, Rhode returned his smile, making her way over to the couch and promptly hopping up to be right beside him.

"How are you feeling?" The inquiring tone was polite as could be, but her smile betrayed her rather sadistic amusement. Kuroro had been very good to her when she'd been attacked, but it always felt nice to see someone else going through the same trouble.

"Oh, pretty good," he answered, and he sounded it, at least. Her amusement didn't bother him -- it was expected between them, not being bothered by each other's pains and mild displays of sadism. Kuroro held up the book he had been reading, something about the world's geography, and shrugged. "I've been a little bored stuck here. Where have you been?"

"That's a good question."

Rhode slid over, turning so she could look up at him as she hugged onto his neck and leaned against his chest. She was a bit hesitant to mention her biggest discovery of the morning; after all, it was probably just a hiccup, or something. It could be perfectly fine the next day, and it would be risking so much over nothing at all.

"I think I went home. I don't... recall, exactly. But this is the dress I was wearing when I first came here, the one that was ruined when you let Lavi get at me."

She glanced at the hands she'd rested on his shoulders, lifting up one to show him. "And this, too."
