I wish I could learn how to sculpt
I have this great idea for a sculpture floating in my head for at least ten years. I need to learn how to make a human form, which then needs to be wired on the inside because I need to put LEDs and such on it. I have no idea how to pull this off. I imagine I would need to bake some sort of fiberglass body, and then I'd need to learn how to do minor electrical wiring, but... well, I dunno.
Last night I had a dream in which I encountered this arresting sculpture, and I feel SOOOOO called to making it. This one might be easier, I imagine I would need to stretch muslin over a metal skeleton, and maybe use cotton padding or something... But, again, I wish someone could teach me how to use 3D materials to do this shit.
I wonder where people learn these things. I thought it was art school, but it isn't (which is why I quit going).
