Newcomers and victims alike are returning. Congratulations are in order, I suppose. I'm quite glad to see everyone in higher spirits. It makes me a little more willing to come out of my 'cave', as my mother would put it ( Read more... )

Ascots on handsome men, ties on politicians, and bowties on children.

I arrived here on my birthday, in this world's time.

What should I wear, by those rules?

Oh! How unfortunate! What a cruel birthday present.

Mm. If I recall correctly, you're not half bad. I suppose an ascot would do.

The arrival wasn't the worst of it, really.

I suppose I should be flattered.

How unfortunate... what happened?

Ah, a holiday in some worlds. On the 31st of October, children dress as monsters or other mythical creatures, go door-to-door and collect candy.

It used to have more religious implications, but it's been rather dumbed-down for quite some time.

I see...strange. But you're hardly a child, so what importance should such a holiday have for you?

Well, if it's celebrated, I'll have to get candy to give the children, won't I?

How soon is this Halloween shit? It was April last time I checked but hey, weird space-time shit isn't exactly unusual.

Also, ties bro. The other two are pretty lame, though I guess you could get away with wearing a bowtie ironically or something.

I find ascots to be classiest choice. I personally will wear bow-ties and ties casually, but an ascot is something typically reserved for very special occasions.

On another note, if I'm still here by my birthday I may have to curse the great spaghetti monster in the sky since that will mean I'll have missed Christmas, too. I sincerely hope our original timelines aren't just continuing on without us.

I wonder. Wouldn't that be unfortunate?

To put it lightly! The last thing my family and friends need right now is a missing person's case.

Mm. My family at least doesn't have to worry about me.

Then what would you wear to a formal event?
