[For a moment the screen is filled with an oddly textured blackness that soon turns into the sleeve of Riff's coat as he pulls his arm back. When the screen clears you can see that Riff is sat rather comfortably at a desk, apparently focussing on whatever it is he's writing. In the background, lounging comfortable on his bed (and fully dressed, thank you very much) is Cain.
The feed continues on this way for about a minute before Riff looks up and smiles apologetically.]
I'm sorry about that, I wasn't quite as finished with this [he gestures, forgetting that what he's been writing on isn't in view] as I'd anticipated.
[His smile fades to be replaced with a look of sincere gratefulness]
Mr. Katsura, I wanted to thank you once again for your assistance yesterday, I dread to think of what could have happened to Lord Cain and I had you not come along when you did.
Which brings me to the next subject.
[He smiles again, and picks up the piece of paper he'd been writing on when the feed first started, revealing what he'd been working on. On it is a list of names of people either he or Cain have interacted with while they've been in Death City]
I would like to extend invitations, on behalf of Lord Cain, to those of you on this list to join us for tea on the afternoon of Friday the first of October. If the weather holds we would like to have this in the park, though alternate arrangements will be made in case of rain.
Those of you who are comfortable with sharing the information, if I could have your addresses formal invitations will be sent out within the next few days.
