I think it means when people meet, a relationship is formed. It might grow into something big or small and become a friendship or a rivalry. Or maybe that will be the only time those people see each other. Even then, they leave some kind of impression with the other person.

I think so. Seeing someone is enough to make even a small memory. You might not recall it right away, but it will always be in the back of your head.
