"All lives meet other lives and give birth to something."

...I still wonder what that something is. [--oh, hey there Death City] Ah, Death City? What do you guys think that "something" is?

I'm curious.

I think it means when people meet, a relationship is formed. It might grow into something big or small and become a friendship or a rivalry. Or maybe that will be the only time those people see each other. Even then, they leave some kind of impression with the other person.

Oh! So if it becomes a relationship, it becomes something even bigger, or a huge impression on someone?

I think so. Seeing someone is enough to make even a small memory. You might not recall it right away, but it will always be in the back of your head.

Mm! Even if it is only once, at least it's something!

It's true to some extent. You'll never know.

...That'd be really weird if two friends made a monster, though.

It could be any number of things, I suppose. A 'possibility' if you will.

The possibility for friendship, to be enemies, to inspire a change or realization.

Oh, I see! That makes a whole lot of sense!

[surprised but happy at the enthusiasm]

May I ask what brought on the question?

Perhaps they were talking about means of production, comrade. [hmms.] Either new workers for the land, or perhaps a new contract between two people formed in one instant. Isn't that just beautiful, comrade!

...Byt why would they talk about two rivals about that?

A lot more carbon dioxide, maybe...?

That's what these new science books are saying, anyway.

Why carbon dioxide?

Oxygen goes in, carbon dioxide comes out.

Who knows why?
