[video of luck looking pensieve, carefully choosing which words to use.]

How many of us have been here for a while? And by 'a while', I mean more than a month, or so. Though I suppose this can also apply to those who've been here for weeks, and have found the city somewhat welcoming to them along with its inhabitants.

I ask because given the amount of people that come within this city, it probably is unavoidable to make acquaintances with each other, in some manner. [pause] No doubt some of us have met good people, and perhaps made close friends, despite the other, more pressing issues that we are to deal with in this city. The deal with partnerships, meister and weapon, also implies intimacy to a certain degree, doesn't it? Resonation seems to be proof of that.

Say that perhaps, we win the war, and we get the chance to leave. I am curious whether these relationships will be maintained, and if that will interfere with the general goal of getting back to your homes.

[hmms.]

As for me, I would definitely not like to lose any acquaintances made during my stay. But family ties and other occupations take precedence first. In making the choice between losing memories -- we are never sure if we carry on this knowledge once we return, anyway, correct me if I'm wrong -- and going home, I will choose the latter.

Not to say that it's futile to make other acquaintances; unfortunately, there is something that needs to be done when I return, and that is that.
