[Stein's been tired-looking since before the Europe missions, but his tiredness seems to be getting less and less so as the days go by - even though he's been pretty hard to find for quite some time now, especially after the Mall debacle. he's sitting directly in the center of the screen, eyes impossible to see behind his glasses (weirdest flashes ( Read more... )

[noon to six? dammit it's hard being nocturnal on Earth. It's hard, but he knows better than to think Stein cares.]

It's about time! They won't even let us see half the damn library, and specifics are hard to come by.

How big is the classroom?

You have to earn the right to the information in the Library, even as a local.

Fairly large. It's standard for Shibusen. It should seat all interested quite comfortably.

How do you do that? And what the hell's the point of locking everything up? I mean, it's not like I'm a stranger to classified information or anything, but where's the sense in bringing people into your fight and then only letting them know part of the story?

[someone just hates being out of the loop and having gaps in his notes. it's hard to be leader when you don't have all the answers on hand.]

Even people who are about nine feet tall and don't use chairs?

We treat Guests as we do all our Students. Students aren't permitted to look at the more classified and highly sensitive information until they've reached the level of three-star Meister and weapon pair, or Death Scythe. Young people with no idea what they're doing who have just been given power shouldn't know certain things; they'll go off doing something stupid.

...Yes, it should be fine. They can stand in the back.

You say that like people don't manage to go off and do all sorts of harrowingly stupid shit already. What the hell would a few books change?

Besides, some of us are actually trying to figure this stuff out and have teams to pass information on to.

[at least Selendis can make it. not that he'd mind passing stuff on to her later, but better to not exclude her in the first place.]

Because at least that harrowingly stupid shit won't be in the den of a well-known Witch.

If they're so fucking dumb that practicing their rookie skills in the middle of a coven or whatever sounds like a good idea, I don't think your class will be much help.

Not even close. Anyone that blatantly stupid was never exactly a war asset in the first place, were they?

[he reaches offscreen, rummaging for something.]

Is there going to be a textbook or, I don't know, program or something for this class? Or do we just need pens and paper?

You make a lot of assumptions.

Just pen and paper. Anything else, I will provide.
