[Stein's been tired-looking since before the Europe missions, but his tiredness seems to be getting less and less so as the days go by - even though he's been pretty hard to find for quite some time now, especially after the Mall debacle. he's sitting directly in the center of the screen, eyes impossible to see behind his glasses (weirdest flashes in the world, in this city) and he's actually wearing a full sweater. a turtleneck, in fact, though it's been ripped apart and restitched just as the rest of his clothes have.]
Congratulations to everyone who came home safe from the European missions. I have no doubt we'll be returning soon, but for now it's good to rest. Even in resting, don't forget to practice resonation with your partner; there is never a point a person cannot resonate, unless they've mysteriously misplaced their soul. Experiment with the different ways you can create a connection. You'll never know when it can come in handy.
[behind him, a little flying squirrel, sporting the same patchwork stitches (the hawk-eyed might notice), flies across the screen in the background. Stein doesn't seem to notice.]
Hopefully everyone enjoyed the holidays as much as they could. There's no telling how long it will take before something massive happens again. Hopefully we can make it to New Year's before something does come around, December's been busy.
[the squirrel flies across the screen again, and there's a faint cry of "Frankie! Come back here!". Stein raises an eyebrow but doesn't otherwise move; in the background, Spirit annoyedly tramps across the screen after the squirrel.]
Several of the Guests have made it clear they want more information about this place and the study of the souls, along with simple battle arts that would normally be taught over the course of school.
[the squirrel flies the other way again, with Spirit in tow; he's got his sleeves rolled up, and he's shaking his fist, a towel over one shoulder. "Seriously, Frankie! You need a bath!".]
I've decided that, on the first Monday of the new year, I'll start teaching a new class.
[again the squirrel flies across, doing a little loop in the air, and Spirit stops and tries to catch him, jumping into the air and waving his arms around, but he fails, dropping back down and stalking off the screen again, where the squirrel's disappeared again. "This isn't funny! Come on, please?"]
It will focus on more passive but ultimately useful battle techniques and more advanced soul studies. Partnership studies and strengthening soul bonds will also be a main focus. I'll also help with history; if you're interested in the war the Witches have against the Lord Death, it might be useful.
[behind him, the squirrel is flying again, but Spirit runs in and catches him out of the air. triumphant, Spirit grins madly and hurries off the screen. Stein only gives a quiet sigh.]
The class will be five hours long, with an hour break in the middle. Noon to six. It'll be in my classroom in Shibusen. If you need directions, ask.
If you're interested, either show up on the day of or send me a note on the network. Locals and Guests are both welcome.
[and then, his glasses flash.]
If you're planning on disrupting the class atmosphere or slacking off, there are colleges all around the world willing to take you, and most of them have teachers that don't regularly carry scalpels.
