If Day 3 was for the guys, Day 4 was for me. It was a Sunday, so we went to Harajuku! I got the impression that the guys were going just to see all the people, but even though I told them that the bridge wouldn’t have any one on it before 10am, guess what time we got there? 9:30. Sigh.
So we went to the Heian Jingu next to the bridge while waiting for shops to open and people to show up.
This shrine is about all I remember from the first time I was in Harajuku. There was a wedding that time, too.
This is how early we were. It’s a Sunday, and you can see the street underneath all the people! Compare this to that time second semester when it was more crowded than the rush-hour train at the Osaka-Umeda station. Actually, it was like that one live when Heli managed to get us up to the third row when Phantasmagoria was performing at Shibuya-O East. Now that was crowded.
Anyway, we went walking all over while waiting for shops to open up, so I got some pictures of familiar places.
Look, Condomania was all decorated. *snorfle*
Hey Duckie, here’s what Mashu hair salon looks like in the daylight.
And here’s the Audi building where we stopped to reorganise stuff after Duckie got her hair cut
Mighty Soxer wasn’t open when we went down the strip the first time, and after that Cousin’s Twin didn’t want to go back into the crowd of people 。゜(>д<)゜。But I did manage to get a Light in the photo, Tara-aneki!
The bridge was really disappointing. There were far too many foreigners and far too few Japanese. Maria, the Rainbow Haired Dude, and the Bag Lady weren’t there either. But the weird guy who was dancing at the wall last time was there, and so was this guy
Unfortunately he was the most interesting person on the bridge…
So we went across to where the bands perform on the sidewalk. On the way there we saw the Christian couple, with the same fliers and the same speech…
These guys were pretty good.
I did manage to drag the guys to both Closet Childs though. Cousin enjoyed the CD shop, at least. The clothes shop was having an amazing sale, and I managed to find two weird shirts for less than ¥1800 each! Xiao, I found you a bunny ear shirt too, but it wasn’t on sale.
Afterwards we headed over to Shibuya, so Cousin could see the Crosswalk of Death.
This was a neat advert over the train tracks at Harajuku station
And a “Woah, wait, what?” advert on a building in Shibuya.
Yeah, that’s all mine. Cold sake in the glass, warm sake in the back, melon chu-hi, grape chu-hi, and water. Though I really only managed a few sips of the cold sake, about 5 of the warm, less of the melon chu-hi, and it took me two nights to finish the grape… So no worries of me becoming a drunk XD
