So today Brent and I went shopping in St. Cloud.
My government money was burning a hole in my pocket, so needless to say I made some really great purchases; my two favorites being a seafoam green cardigan and a brown, white and pink Brand New shirt. Get jealous. But anyway, the point of this whole entry is that I was completely blown out of the water today when I saw that they are selling Sage Francis t-shirts at Hot Topic. Now, don't get me wrong, I've been known to cruise through their merchandise from time to time, for maybe a pair of earrings or every now and then a shirt. But I'm fully aware that Hot Topic reaks of things that are getting a little to popular to still remain "underground". I know I'm definitely not they only person in the Minnesota area that listens to Sage Francis, and I realize that he deserves a little recognition since he's been doing it himself for so long, but something about it hurts to see your favorite and most respected artist have a shirt framed on the wall at Hot Topic underneath a My Chemical Romance shirt, and a reprinted Nirvana shirt. I'm probably being a little angsty here, but someone has to relate to this shit.
In other news, the room is looking pimp. People have to come and visit soon to check it out. It's like a little lounge type room. I'm seriously digging it. I'm feeling a little better about being in Morris, but I'm still seriously missing all my fucking rad friends from home and the 612 area. Speaking of, I saw a boy on campus today rocking a shirt that had a square print on the front that said, "Rep the 612" it was both really ridiculous and totally adorable at the same time. I'm itching for classes to get started so I'll have some more stuff to do with my time then stalking my neighbor and checking livejournal 8-10 times a day.
