(no subject)
For those of you who have never visited Morris, and even for those of you who have been lucky enough to either visit or attend school here, i have noticed two things I have never noticed before:
1. Whenever you drive anywhere outside of town you automatically feel like you're one of those movie starlets from the 40's that is sitting in a stationary car while some union employees crank a large roll of screen outside your windows to feign movement; the screen just keeps repeating itself and everyone pretends not to notice. That is exactly how I feel.
2. Brent and I argued for about two hours today about whether or not the big round sign with a chicken on it has always been part of the Detoy's restaurant sign, or if it's actually a new addition to the old sign. I think it might have always been there, but then again maybe it's new. Debating the Detoy's restaurant chicken sign has become my reality. Is it a new chicken? No, it's an old chicken. New chicken. Old chicken. On and on and on. Be happy that you don't live here.
Other than this, today was pretty average. Watched my crazy neighbor move his furniture across the hall tonight as well. Again, he didn't start until after sun down. I noticed that he has what seems to be bundles and bundles of electrical cords in all colors. Brent says that's normal if he's into electronics but I definitely think that is the kind of shit you tie people up with. He also has a plaid bed spread and lots of extension cords. Very mysterious. I watched him out the peep hole in my door for about a half-hour, maybe that makes me the psycho. Does anyone else have creepy suspicions about their neighbors?
Alright, that's all for now. I'm going to watch reruns of Boy Meets World (shout out to Melissa).
