Today I returned to the ice for the first time in years (like 15). Inline skating allows or even encourages all these habits that don't work at all on ice. (I haven't even done that in a few years) Predictably, I fell several times, and nearly fell LOTS of times. That said, by the end of the day I was feeling some of those reflexes coming back and was just barely confident enough to start going faster than I really should try at this point (rental skates don't help). This, of course, being not nearly as fast I used to be able to go.
Oh well, something to look forward to! :)
