Thanks to persona for introducing me to it on the very day. Why the long lag? That's a very good question. But regardless, I recently had a very interesting conversation which got me energized about it. One thing I find fascinating is how many philosophies and attitudes tie into that question that lie far outside the realm of mathematics. And yes, there are going to be a lot of people who think the whole issue is quibbling over a very picayune detail. Lots of people will certainly suggest that they're indifferent or that they really have no preference. I respect that there are people like that, although I would contend that being informed and still truly indifferent is fairly rare. I've also found exploring questions like that leads to some great conversations. Just make sure you're asking people that won't dismiss the question out of hand and be ready for some disagreement. ;)
