You might be a horcrux if...

Name: Olivia
Age: 18
Gender: Female

1. What is/was your favorite subject in school and why?
My favorite normal school subject is English, because I love the discussions.  My favorite english class ever, the class would get into such heated discussions that people would literally get up from their seats and sit at opposite ends of the classroom.  Those debates were held on topics ranging from current events, to literature and even world views.  I don't think you can really understand your own point of view until you've defended it against someone with an opposite perspective.  My favorite elective is Psychology, because I love understanding how people think.  After taking a psychology course, you can never see people the same again.

2. What would be your favorite subject at Hogwarts and why?
I think my favorite class would be Charms.  It seems to be a very useful class, and I think that is one that I would definitely read about on my own time.  There would be so many useful charms to learn that could help with everyday things.  Things like the Shield Charm, and the Impervius Charm would be helpful in everyday situations.  Defense Against the Dark Arts would come in a close second.

3. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I would like to look older.  I'm 18 years old, and frequently get carded at the movie store for renting anything over 14-A.  It's completely humiliating, because I'm not a short person, I'm almost 5'9".  I just have a young face, and I can tell that adults don't take me seriously sometimes.  I have to work twice as hard to get them to stop treating me like a baby.

4. If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be?
Although this is an enormous topic, I'd abolish racism.  One of my friends moved from Africa, and the reason she had to move was because some of the women in her family have blonde hair.  It was simply too dangerous for her family, just because they were white.  Their house had huge metal fences around it, and people still used to chuck things through the windows and threaten them.  I think racism is one of the very worst aspects of the world.

5. Which Harry Potter character can you relate to the most and why?
There are a couple characters I can relate to, but firstly I'd have to say Luna Lovegood.  Luna says what she thinks, and doesn't care when people call her names for saying these things.  At first, the readers think Luna is just crazy.  As we get to know her, however, you get to see that there is an underlying truth to everything Luna says.  She sees the good in people, and is very loyal to her friends.  Another character I can relate to is Remus Lupin, because of his quiet nature.  He tends to see the big picture.

6. Which non-Harry Potter character can you relate to the most and why?
Although I don't really identify with many of the characters in the books I read, I've been told that I have characteristics seen in Holden Caulfield, from Catcher in the Rye.  I don't have the same bleak outlook on life, and I'm not as anti social, but I do classify people the way he does.  He really studies people, and likes to figure them out entirely.  I've been known to do the same, asking people "Oh, are you one of those people that does this?" and really getting a feel for their little quirks.  But I definitely don't think I have all his depressing "I hate phonies, I hate the world" point of view.

7. Pick one quality from each of the four houses that you possess and explain why.
My Gryffindor trait would definitely be courage.  I stand up for the underdog, and it helps that I don't care what people think of me.  As for Ravenclaw, I am very creative.  It shows through in many ways; the way I dress, act, speak and think.  The jokes I make are often ones that people have to think about for a second, then laugh at and repeat to others.  I think outside the box.  My Hufflepuff trait would be loyalty; I am relentlessly loyal.  I don't tell on people, I don't spread rumours, and I believe that you get what you give.  If someone breaks my trust, it takes a long time toget it back.  As for Slytherin, I am a definite leader.  I can't stand back and let someone else tell me where to go or what to do.  I am confidant in my abilities, and I have the determination to get where I want to go.

8. Which house do you think you belong in and why?
I think I might belong in Ravenclaw, although Gryffindor seems a good fit aswell.  My parents raised me to see the big picture, and not to believe everything I see on TV, or read in a book.  Though sometimes I overanalyze things a bit too much, I am generally a very knowledgable person.  I love reading, mostly non-fiction about people, world events, or psychology.  My teachers enjoy my opinions because I am generally very sarcastic , and can make everyone around me laugh.  I love using big words, but don't overuse them because that's just showing off.

9. Which house do you feel you'll never belong in and why?
Again, I don't want to rule anything out, but I don't think I am kind enough to be in Hufflepuff.  Although I am usually nice, I can be very harsh.  I am the kind of person that knows how to push the right buttons, and when someone is being very annoying or agressive towards me, I can just shut them down.  It's a bad talent to have, but I've never lost a verbal fight because of my ability to be hurtful, sarcastic and cold.

10. Which Harry Potter book do you like the best and why?
My favorite is Prisoner of Azkaban, because it was just more thrilling than the first two.  That was the book that really got me hooked on the series.  Also, the introduction of Lupin was key, because he is one of my favorite characters.  The scene where Lupin and Sirius are with Harry, Ron and Hermione in the Shrieking Shack is one of my favorites in the entire series.  Also: "I would rather DIE then betray my friends!" Just sends chills down my spine (in a good way).  Such a powerful scene.

11. Which Harry Potter movie do you like the best and why?
I didn't really like the movies very much, except for the fact that it gave me a better idea of how to picture some of the characters, and parts of Hogwarts that I was a little confused about.  I suppose I like the fifth one the best, because of the Department of Mysteries.  I was blown away by the beauty of all the prophecies falling off the shelves, and the disorganized, chaotic way in which they shot the final battle scene.

12. What would you see if you looked into the Mirror of Erised?
Right now, I would see myself grown up and with a successful job.  I've always wanted to work in law enforcement, and prove that women can do those jobs just as well as men.  I might also see myself with a few family members; not very many, just my closest ones.  I would like to see myself being looked up to by others.

13. If you came across a boggart, what would it transform into?
Someone on drugs.  I constantly have nightmares about someone pulling a needle out of their arm, and looking up at me with a deranged look in their eyes, really spaced out, and then stumbling towards me with a weapon.  It's just the freakiest thing ever.

14. Which Harry Potter character is your least favorite and why?
Belletrix Lestrange.  She doesn't think for herself, she just blindly follows Voldemort and kills whoever he tells her too.  She tortured Neville's parents, and then laughed about it.  She is one of the only bad characters in the series who doesn't  have any redeeming qualities.  She killed one of my favorite characters, Tonks (her niece), and nearly killed Ginny.  Is it so wrong I laughed when she died?  "Not my daughter, you bitch!!", FTW.

15. If you were in the Harry Potter universe, what would be your stance on Muggle-born wizards practicing magic?
Completely fine.  They are wizards, so they should have an opportunity to do magic.  After all, if you don't keep bringing in new wizards, the pure-bloods will eventually become too inbred to funtion and wizards will die out.  It's ridiculous to judge someone based on their parents. No one can help who their parents are.

16. What kind of qualities do you look for in a friend?
A good sense of humor, and someone non-judgemental.  Someone who has similar interests, and is always open and interested in new things.  Someone you could just be yourself with; when you say something wrong, they just laugh because they knew what you were going to say before you said it.  A friend should be someone who tells you the truth about your new ugly haircut, and instead of making fun of it, they offer to go with you to get it fixed.  Someone who stands up for you, even if they know you're off your rocker.

17. What is your favorite quote from the series and why?

"As the Inquisitorial Squad closed in, Fred and George kicked off from the floor, shooting fifteen feet into the air. Fred looked across the hall at the poltergeist bobbing on his level above the crowd.
"Give her hell from us, Peeves."
And Peeves, whom Harry had never seen take an order from a student before, swept his belled hat from his head and sprang to a salute as Fred and George wheeled about to tumultuous applause from the students below and sped out of the open front doors into the glorious sunset."

I love this quote because it is so epic.  It's such a great exit, perfectly fitting for the Weasley twins.  They're going out into the world, because they know what they want, and how to get it.

18. What is your favorite quote that is not related to Harry Potter and why?
"The question that sometimes drives me hazy; am I, or the others crazy?" - Albert Einstein
There is just something about this quote that is hard to put into words; I love it because it's all about contrasting viewpoints.  If you think something's mental, there's someone else out there who believes you're mental for not agreeing with them.  It's a never ending cycle.  Einstein was brilliant.

19. Who is one person, real or fictional, that inspires you and why?
Romeo Dallaire.  Through the entire Rwandan genocide, he stuck it out just to try and help people.  He was ignored by the UN, and slowly had troops and man-power taken away from him, but he stayed.  Just because of the innocent people.  When help finally arrived, they found a man that was broken and guilt ridden and suicidal, but he would not leave because innocent people were dying, and you don't let innocent people die just because you're afraid.  It destroyed him inside, and to this day he'll occasionally walk out on a bridge and try to jump.  I know one day, I'll have a tough time with something, but because of him, I'll stick it out.

20. List your top five priorities in life. Why are these things so important to you?
Friends/Family: Without my friends, I would turn into a crazy person.  They let me vent, and they let me be me.  My family is pretty weird, but I can always trust my parents to give me some good advice.  I hope one day I'll get along with my brother.
Music: I am an absolute music addict.  I also play many instruments.  Music helps me keep calm, gives me perspective, and still has a magical appeal to me.
Career: I have always wanted to be sucessful, graduate college, and get a job that allows me to be financially independant.  Most girls think I'm pretty strange for wanting a career more than a husband, but I think wanting a man to take care of you instead of taking care of yourself seems pretty weak.
Health/Fitness: I am addicted to sports.  Being physically active is something I don't just want in my life; I need.  Running, swimming and snowboarding are my main escapes from the world when I get too stresses.
Reading: I have an extremely overactive imagination.  To get into a really good book just takes me out of my head for a little while, and sometimes I desperately need that.  Overthinking things gives me massive headaches, and reading soothes them.

21. You see both a Muggle and a wizard in trouble. You have the chance to help only one. Would you help one of them or ignore the situation? If you chose to help one of them, which would you help and why?
I think my answer will be the same as a lot of peoples; help the muggle, and hope that the wizard can help themselves.  Though it depends on many things; say the wizard was a small first year, and the muggle was like, Chuck Norris or something.  Then obviously, the little first year.  Another possibility, since I can only help one of them: help the wizard, then get the wizard to help the muggle.

22. Under what circumstances would you use an Unforgivable Curse?
I'd like to think I would never use an Unforgivable curse.  Although if I were to use one, I think I'd go for the Imperious curse because it does the least amount of harm, generally speaking.  I wouldn't use it to hurt someone at all.  And only if it was absolutely needed.

23. Under what circumstances would you work for Voldemort?
If I was a spy for the Order or something, and never had to kill anyone or harm anyone.  That would be the only way I can think of.  Undercover, like Lupin did.

24. If you happened upon a Time Turner, how would you use it?
I don't think I would use it.  I'd be overly paranoid, like Hermione, that someone would see me and my future self would die.  What a horrible freaky and confusing way to die.

25. Will you remain an active member of the community?
Of course.
