Sasha had said he would start class 'next week', and he felt sorry for any students who thought he meant next Wednesday. The room was set up with tables and stools, making an E and backwards E shape, with a path leading directly to the teacher's desk. Behind the desk were some storage cabinets and three chalk boards. One on the right was labeled 'HISTORY', the one in the center 'THEORY' and the one on the left had a list of what was going to be gone over in class today, along with the homework assignment.

Textbooks and files lined the walls. Gone was the bazaar look, now was the classroom look.

Right as the clock on the newly decorated wall of the Divination classroom hit the signal class was about to start, Sasha Nein walked in. He was a pale, sickly colored thin man with a strong jaw, and short dark hair. His robes were neatly pressed, and one could see he wore neatly polished shoes, slacks and a thick turtle neck sweater. He made it to the front of the class room and turned around to face his audience.

"Welcome to Divination, I am Sasha Nein and I am your new professor. I will be handing out a syllabus of what can be expected to go over for the rest of the school term. Are there any questions thus far?"

Souji's hand shot up. He was looking at the new teacher with friendly curiosity, he seemed so different from their last teacher. The class seemed like it was going to be much more serious, too, and Souji wasn't sure yet if that was a good or bad thing. He was optimistic, though.

"Professor Nein, can you tell us about yourself?" After all, it would be weird to have a teach they didn't know anything about.

"Of course." Sasha said with a nod. "I am Sasha Nein, I was raised in Germany and went to Durmstrang. I am an Auror taking time off during the school year to research some topics in the Muggle field of Psychology, specifically in just how the brain affects behavior on a neurological level and to study some more transfiguration skills."

He brushed some hair away from the middle of his forehead, "I have been given permission to teach other classes extra-curricularly if I find any students that I think have the potential for it."

"That's so interesting!" And rather mysterious too, Souji thought. Of course, he didn't know much about Durmstrang, but it sure sounded intimidating from the rumors. "Welcome to Hogwarts, Professor. I hope you really like it here, I bet teaching is much different from being an Auror. What other classes are you going to teach?"

There weren't too many other students in the 6th Year class, so Souji didn't feel bad taking up some of the class time with his questions. Hopefully Professor Nein wouldn't mind either.

"I have been given permission to teach wandless magic if I feel any student qualifies for it."

"That sounds so exciting!" Wandless magic was something Souji had heard about, but didn't have any experience with. Being Muggleborn, he'd never even really seen it in action. "What do we have to do to qualify?"

"I am not saying so I don't only see students jumping through hoops to try and make it in." Sasha said to Souji. "And it is more useful then exciting."

"Well, okay," Souji said, smiling. Professor Nein seemed quite a bit more strict than their last teacher, but he didn't really mind. "Then I hope you can find some good students for it, Professor."

"I hope all my students have the will and ability to come into the class."

Sabriel quite honestly loved Divination. It might not be an exact magic, or as technical as some of her other favorites, but there was something otherwordly about it that she just couldn't help but adore. She had read books about it during the long, lazy summers, curled up in an armchair in her father's library, and finally being able to take the class was something she couldn't help but be excited about.

The first half of the year had been interesting, but not as enlightening as she might have hoped. Perhaps because she had already read a couple books... but they had been such beginner books, she hadn't thought it would matter.

Now, though, with Professor Nein, Sabriel had high hopes. She had heard about him from her father, because she asked him about all the people he'd met in his career, and she couldn't help but feel a bit starstruck now that she was actually sitting in his classroom.

And a bit shy. She quietly kept her hands folded on her lap, fine with letting other students ask the questions.

Sasha started to hand out the syllabus. "And because your previous teacher did not leave list of name, tent some parchment in front of you with your name where I can see it, black ink only please."

Eager to get started with the class, Sabriel quickly wrote her name on a small piece of parchment, perching it gingerly on the edge of her desk. Her writing was neat and loopy and every bit what you'd expect from a thirteen year old.

Sasha read over the names and looked at Sabriel. "I think I have worked with your father before." He didn't quite remember due to the number of people everyone works with.

Sabriel perked up, looking up at Professor Nein with barely disguised enthusiasm (and maybe a little bit of hero worship). "He told me a little about you, Professor, I'm very excited to learn from you!" And she was; she liked divination, the professor was someone her father respected, really, she didn't think this class could get any better.

Sasha nodded, "I just hope I do not disappoint." he pushed his sunglasses up his nose as he started to write on the chalkboard. "Can anyone tell me the last subject you studied in class?"
