Why? Why was fate so cruel? Was this some sort of punishment, taunting her like that with a perfect life she would never know? Even though the memories of those ten years were blurred in her mind, she still remembered the warmth of them, the rapture and happiness of living in peace, making a difference everyday before spending her evenings with her beautiful children...their beautiful children.
The girl shook her head to escape the fantasy, it would only make her heart ache more. Romeo no doubt despised her now, would probably turn her in. It was all over, all because she had to fall in love with the son of her enemy. The pain, that was her reward for her selfish desire for happiness above her duty.

As he went into the Great Hall, he saw a flash of red hair out of the corner of his eye, and turned his head until he could see the girl fully.
"Juliet!" He called out, moving through the crowd to her.

If she did though she would break down, and that couldn't happen again.
She bit back her tears, and instead soon found herself running up the stairs, ducking into one of the corridors on the upper floors. She weaved in and out of the halls, hoping to lose Romeo in the process, then retreat to the safety of Gryffindor tower.

He ran the same way she had, pushing past people, seeing familiar faces blur past him as he struggled to keep her in sight, to catch up. Calling her name, he tried not to trip as he slammed into someone else, still racing towards her.
"Juliet, wait, stop! Let's at least talk about this, Juliet- Just listen to me!"

"Juliet, please!" Another corner, into a classroom- but the wrong one, and as he whips his head to scan the room, he slams a hand against the wall, hissing lowly. Spinning around and heading the way he came, to the next class down the hall, he heard a soft noise in the direction he was heading and took a long breath, relaxing as he made his way to where he knew she was.
"Juliet. You had to know you couldn't run forever."
