WHO: Alfred and Raimei + NOW OPEN
TONE: LOUD AND SHOUTY.
WHEN: May 26th, before dinner
WHERE: A closet.
WHAT: Alfred and Raimei get locked in a closet. Hijinks ensue.
STATUS: COMPLETE

If there was anything Alfred liked less than going to class all day followed by studying, or trying to study, all evening, he was hard-pressed to think of it. Well, maybe the cruciatus curse. Or being hung-over. That wasn't the point. The point was, OWLs needed to be over, yesterday, and he was starving.

Raimei was sore, mostly, from sitting in one position for so long while reading up on History of Magic. Of all the OWLs, it was the one she knew she'd do worst on--there was no practical!--and even though it wasn't really strictly necessary for becoming an Auror, she was still determined to do as well as possible in it.

She stretched, yawning a little, then waved when she saw Alfred.

"Hey." Alfred waved back, smiling as he fell in step with Raimei. "Heading to dinner?"

"Hey!" Raimei said, letting her arms fall to her sides. "Yeah, I'm hungry." She gave the grounds a mournful glance through a window as they passed it. "Been studying all afternoon."

"Yeah," Alfred agreed with a sigh. "Sucks, doesn't it?" He shoved his hands in his pockets. "I hope we're having something good."

"Yeah!" Raimei said, smiling. "They usually do, though."

"Yeah, that's tru-- HEY!" Someone, apparently in a big hurry to get down to the Great Hall, shoved past Alfred from the side. Alfred flailed, trying in vain to keep his balance. He went down, toppling Raimei like a domino and crashing through an open closet door.

Raimei let out a shriek as Alfred fell over onto her. Seriously, he was heavy! She flailed as they fell, but found herself a moment later on the ground, squished under Alfred.

"Ah--GET THE HELL OFF!"

"I'M TRYING!" Alfred struggled to push himself up-- seriously, that had hurt, and it wasn't like landing on Raimei provided any padding-- when the closet door suddenly slammed shut behind them, followed by a familiar cackling laugh.

"Ohgodit'speeves!"

Raimei tried to push Alfred off of her, but the--the whatever they were in--was really small and didn't give her any room to maneuver; combined with the fact that Alfred significantly outweighed her, Raimei was pretty well stuck.

"I don't care! Move!"

"Is he in here!?" Alfred stayed where he was, flattening himself against the ground (or, more accurately, against Raimei) and trying to get a glimpse of the poltergeist. But his glasses had been knocked askew in the fall, and, moreover, it was pitch black except for a thin line of light coming from beneath the door.

Raimei made a strangled noise at being further flattened, flailing her arms around and kicking at Alfred.

"I can't see! You're on top of me!"

"Ow! Jeez, sorry!" Alfred rolled off of her as best he could in the limited space.

"THAT'S MAKING IT WORSE!" she yelped, pretty sure she could not get flatter at this point

"There's not enough room!" Alfred snapped. Whose idea was it to make closets this ridiculously narrow in the first place? "I-- how's this?" He pushed himself up to his knees, straddling Raimei in the middle of the floor.

"Better," she said, taking in a deep breath before trying to move around a bit. "Is this a closet?"

"I think so." Alfred reached out, groping blindly toward the walls for a hint. A broom fell on him. "Ow." He shoved the thing back upright. "Yeah, it's a closet."

"Where's the door?" she asked, making to sit up and smacking her face into Alfred. "--no damn room in here!"

"Hey, watch it!" Alfred attempted to scoot backward, off of Raimei. He found the door with his feet. "Is this it?" Awkwardly he attempted to stand up and turn around, knocking the broom over again in the process.

"Ow!" Raimei said loudly, as the broom collided with her head.

"Crap!" Alfred yelped as the broom fell. And then "Crap! " again as he tried the doorknob and found it locked.

"What, what?" Raimei yelled, shoving the broom off of her head and pulling a ribbon loose from her hair in the process.

"It's stuck!" Alfred shouted angrily, tugging at the doorknob, which wasn't budging. "Or something." He banged on the door itself. "Move!"

"Hey, watch it!" Raimei protested, as something of his banged into her. "Wait, WHAT?"

"The door," Alfred explained, banging on it again. It didn't. "Was that you?"

"Was what me?" she asked, giving him a confused look.

"I felt something." He turned around again, reaching his hands out in front of him.

If he didn't move his hands away in a second, she was ripping them off herself. "GET OFF!"

"That was you?"

"STOP TOUCHING ME!"

"I can't see anything!" Alfred yanked his hands away, holding them up disarmingly.

"Neither can I, but I'm not feeling you up!"

"I'm not feeling you up!"

"You were a minute ago!" she said, flailing a hand to make her point.

"Hey. Woah. Watch where you're swinging that!"

"What?" she asked irritably. "At least I wasn't groping anyone!"

"You almost did!" Alfred took a step backwards, only to run into the door again.

"How?" she asked disbelievingly, scooting back a bit, herself, and hitting a wall.

"You! Were--" Alfred gestured. "Just watch your hands!"

"Were what?"

"FLAILING."

"I wasn't flailing!"

"You were flailing!" Alfred crossed his arms, partly out of annoyance and partly to avoid further awkwardness. "Dangerously!"

"You were ON TOP OF ME!" she protested.

"I was TRYING to get off!"

"And squashed me!"

"I didn't mean to!"

"You still did--watch your leg!" she said, shifting as he managed to kick her somehow

Alfred slid down against the door, figuring maybe he'd cause less problems sitting down. The stupid closet was just too small. "You watch your leg!"

"I haven't kicked you!"

"Your legs are in the way!"

"Of what?" she asked grumpily.

"My legs!"

"I can't help it if you're huge!"

"You're just tiny!" Alfred retorted, sliding one of his feet out until it hit something.

And that something was Raimei's shins. There was no way she was making it out of this damn closet unbruised. "Ow! You're just big!"

"Yeah, well, sorry if I don't fit!"

"You don't! The damn closet is way too small for this!"

"Well I'm already in, there's nothing I can do about it now."

"What about getting out?"

"The door's locked!"

"Use your wand!"

"Oh, right." Alfred dug around in his pocket to pull out his wand, trying it twice on the door. "It's not working!"

"What?" she asked, aghast.

"I-- it's not working," he repeated. "You try!"

"You're sitting on it!" she protested.

"I am not! I think I'd notice."

"Well, I don't have it!"

"Here, move--" Alfred got to his knees again, groping around on the floor for something wand-shaped.

"Hey, that's my fo--stop touching me!"

"I said move!"

"I'm trying to, but I can't see a damn thing!"

"Why do you have to see to move?"

"So I don't run into you again!"

"It's not that big a deal!"

"You're so damn hard!"

"I'm not that ha--! oh my God."
